As you read this please bare in mind the majority of the staff are above and beyond 5 star. POSITIVES: The staff from beach bar, beach cafe, activity pool, beach life guards, Tagine restaurant, cleaners, Sports Bar are simply amazing and have made our holiday. These guys are working 14 hour days and still smile, laugh and lovely to be around. They do not expect tips but a simple hello and some fun brought to their days is uplifting for everyone and a please and thank you goes a long way. Special mentions to Osama, Madged, Kenny, Mahmoud, Jeff, Waleed and Mohanad. Guys you have made our holiday so special and thank you. The food is really good, please don't be put off. Various pastries, eggs however you want etc at breakfast. I think us brits just expect the usual full English menu sometimes and no you won't get that here. But you will get nice, tasty food just have a look around. Lunch at the beach snack bar is lovely, the chefs Sayeed and Gomaa really appreciate some acknowledgement and would do anything you request if they can. Evening meals can be a bit chaotic as the hotel has been at capacity. However that doesn't affect quantity and quality of food and there is always a selection of hot meats, roasted duck, roast beef, Turkey, pasta made fresh, pizzas, beef Wellington etc. The salads and soups are lovely as are the pretty cakes at desert. The beach is great, and the windbreaks, bean bags, swings and very comfortable sunbeds are a treat. The activity pool and kids pools near that are heated in winter and there is a hidden heated pool in a smaller area near the rooms at the entrance. The activity pool was a bit mental but that's what it's for! The spa is alright, the hammam experience is an experience! But the rest I would say is expensive for what you are getting. However hubby did have a beard trim and said it was out of this world! I think we got an upgraded room and it was gorgeous. Yes, a bit tired in places but immaculately cleaned by Amra our lovely cleaner, who even packed our pile of worn clothes we had been dumping on top of our suitcase. We noticed the hotel has lots of repeat customers, some have been here 40 times, so I do believe that is testament to the hotel and it's staff. Location was great for us, a few shops directly outside, £1 in an indrive taxi to McDonald's/Hard rock area where there are more shops etc. Farsha cafe trades on the lights gimmick but the big kid in us loved it and it was worth the trip. Christmas and New Years Gala evenings were great, the effort the hotel makes is extraordinary. Yes the food was a bit rubbish and could be better organised but we wanted to soak up the atmosphere and it achieved that. Entertainment is a bit blahhh. There are lots of the team around but so much more could be done. This is something the hotel should address. Not the animators fault they just don't seem to have the chance to do more or better. The evening entertainment is not good but sometimes so bad it makes you have a good laugh. The sports bar was nice for a change of scenery and had a nice vibe. NEGATIVE Ok guys shout me down if you wish but it doesn't sit well with me when different nationalties are rude to staff. It is uncomfortable and can affect your mood, so much so that I am saying please and thank you on their behalf. Secondly our teenage daughter was targeted by a Lithuanian customer on xmas eve who was blatantly videoing her dancing. He was coming past us as her parents to get to her and then challenged us when we told him to stop. He was aggressive and frightening. We demanded to see the manager and he did come. Did he solve this to our expectations, sadly no, and for this we are very disappointed. Sadly she has continued to be leered at, harassed with whistles and blatant unwanted attention by the other male nationals here. Thankfully she is made of stronger stuff and has been able to laugh it off in 90% of cases. By stating the above I am trying to prepare people. I would hate to deter future guests for the sake of the beautiful staff but this should be taken more seriously on the whole. All in all a lovely time, you can't judge a hotel on its guests, nor should you have to but we did need to highlight this issue and really big up the positives we are taking home with us

Fabulous hotel great food friendly staff.new years eve party was amazing.rooms excellent . Already booked again for next year.adel pool bar man and khamis our cleaner were lovely helpful men. Enjoy a coffee on the terrace overlooking pool and beach..the hotel and areas are spotless

We visited this hotel as a large family group. This is a friendly hotel and kept spotlessly clean throughout the day and evenings. The hotel is less than 20 minutes from the airport which is great after a 5 hour flight. The staff go above and beyond to provide you with the very best service, I would like to give a huge thank you to Osama Ahmed who worked the beach bar, your service and memory for drinks was outstanding . There are many pools on the complex and 2 are heated which is great if any of your party or small children are sensitive to cold pools. The food was great, you will find something tasty to eat every day, some of the chefs could do with smiling a little more but it’s no issue. The beach is the best I have ever been on for snorkelling, I’ve never seen so many colourful fish in waist deep water. The in-house taxi rank is a nice touch, you can book a safe taxi instantly, pay a very reasonable set fare and not get harassed to pay more at the end. My only criticism is the size of the glasses for drinks especially if your a larger drinker, SO, take your own large cup (cups are all plastic around the pools anyway) and the staff will happily fill it for you every time. All in all, this is a great hotel for couples, families and groups alike. The location is good and the hotel security make you feel safe all the time.

I made a booking on booking.com and stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids for 6 nights. The hotel is rated 5 star and is a far cry from a 5 star hotel. I made a booking on booking.com and stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids for 6 nights. The hotel is rated 5 star and is a far cry from a 5 star hotel. The rooms are average and for the first 3 nights we didn’t have hot water during showering. We were upgraded and moved to a bigger and much nicer room by the manager which was more pleasant but the hotel is still not a 5 star. The eating facilities although there is 7 restaurants food is bland and served slap dash to you. The waiters and staff serving are generally not very pleasant. The gardens are well maintained but a lot of the hotel is dirty. For example the lift is not clean on the buttons. The only thing 5 star of this hotel is the pools. The pools are world class and nicely heated,
