This was our first time in Egypt, hotel & all staff 100% our room not 5star very tired and needed updating reported to reception who were very helpful said they would move us which they did room much better , Beach not really beach sunbeds are raised up bout 4 steps down to beach !!!! Sea lovely but can only walk out so far up to knees there is barrier across the water few floating pontoons but need swimsuits as coral all underfoot tread very carefully , you can go swimming & snorkeling if you can master walking over floating pier , we spent our time round main pool few times round quiet pool round main pool yousr & emad brilliant omar ( lifeguard) thank-you for my flowers on table Roma (wears cap ) towels so lovely had few laughs with him Romany who cleaned room thank-you for towel animals Mohamed reshwen& eslam lobby bar thank-you from big bossman &cinderella ❤ Abdel rahman& Abanoub soprano restaurant so helpful 100% 😀 also Spa staff lovely enjoyed our massages & my facials credit to all staff would we go back it has its faults but Yes definitely would shukran( thanks) to all

This was our 3rd visit to this Hotel and as the first 2 it was fantastic. All the staff are friendly and cannot do enough to help you . Everywhere is spotless the rooms the restaurant the bars everywhere you walk . Swimming pools are kept in first class condition. The restaurants are outstanding food and service are second to none the speciality restaurant is very good and there is a new one being built down near the sea. We have enjoyed our visits hear that much we have booked a further two times next year

“Nice hotel with amazing staff”

First time visiting and staying at an albatros hotel and I can say I wasnt disappointed nice hotel and very big. It’s only about 20 minutes drive from the airport so very close by. We arrived quite late, the receptionist Ahmed suggested we have something to eat and then come back and check in, Ahmed was a lovely guy and he upgraded us to a lovely pool view room which is on the ground floor overlooking the relaxed pool. The terrace was huge. The room itself was very spacious and had everything you needed including bathrobe and slippers there was a hairdryer and lots of toiletries. Bed was comfy, a king bed with good air conditioning in the room. We went in November and the weather was about 27° which was really lovely but days are short so if you like a long day in the sun, make sure you get up early. We had a lovely housekeeper Mohammed Salah extremely friendly and kept the room immaculate, whatever we needed he was there on hand. Salah had excellent customer service. So friendly and polite. He bought us a fruit platter, flowers and decorated the bed beautifully. We met Mamdouh at the pool and beach he was absolutely fantastic and helped us with everything we needed, what a lovely guy with excellent customer service skills. We also met Sabry who also worked on the beach and the recreation manager Sobhy both so friendly and helpful and helped us with sun beds everyday. The manager would stop us every day and say hello and have time for a little chitchat. They really do make you feel welcome and you don’t want to leave the hotel. There were many food options and breakfast was served till 11am. There is a main buffet restaurant and a couple of other restaurants to dine in. All the food was lovely, and there is something for everyone to eat and enjoy. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Mediterranean and the food was so fresh and delicious we also booked a night at the Culina restaurant again the food was delicious with a full waiter service. The setting was beautiful with a lovely view of sharm. The staff there again so friendly and helpful. The hotel has a few bars around the complex. We met Ahmed at the main bar. He was a fantastic barman made excellent drinks and was very quick and extremely friendly. Always making time for a quick chat and sharing local knowledge. The staff throughout the hotel were so lovely, so welcoming and always ready to help. We also met Mohammed and Essam who look after the sprains bar open terrace area. Again really helpful really customer focused, always ensuring tables are cleared and the area kept spotless. They all work such long hours but yet work with a smile and always ready to help. The hotel grounds itself are lovely, they are kept immaculate and spotless. I have to mention the entertainment team I think they were the best entertainment team I’ve met on all the various holidays I’ve been on, especially Matrix, always trying to get everyone involved and so full of energy and always on the go. There was daily entertainment every day and night, something for everyone. There really was no need to leave the hotel, however Sharm Centre was only about 15 minutes drive and was nice to go and visit again after ages. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the beach area as it is quite hilly and to get to the water, you need to go down some stairs, but nevertheless it was still absolutely beautiful. The surroundings, the sea so clear it is beautiful. Do take sea shoes as it’s quite stoney. The hotel has a jetty you can snorkel and dive from. It’s one of those wobbly ones, would be great if they renovated it to a concrete one. The nearest area to get food while on the beach is from the main pool but they are building a new snack bar right next door to the beach which will be fab. There are a few pools in the hotel but the water was cold, so was the sea but expected in November. Overall we had a fantastic time at Albratros Royal and it being an adults only only hotel was great. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and if you’ve got this hotel booked don’t think twice just go you’ll love it and have an amazing holiday. Thank you to everyone at the hotel.

Bar Staff - Really good service Food Staff - Really good service Beach Bar Staff - Really good service Room cleaners - Good Reception Staff, a mixture of really good people and a couple of ignorant receptionists Entertainment staff- Some male team members were annoying, however the girls know how to deal with customers. In general, the entertainment team did not understand their customer market and were often annoying when constantly trying to encourage clients to partake in preplanned activities. It was noticeable that the main pool area was vacated by customers when entertainment staff play music too load. Food Hall. You have sauces above the salad bar unopened, customers want convenience, not to be messing around trying to open bottles, taking off plastic packaging, wrappers etc. The general quality of food is okay but nothing special, food presentation was very poor with no attention to detail, people eat with their eyes in a 5-star hotel. Christmas Eve food looked and tasted exceptional; however, customer management was shambolic. Desserts were presented first, and customers queued for quite some time wanting starters but having to bypass desserts etc. Service was quite chaotic with customers struggling to find plates and understand were to queue for starters. Customers didn’t know if drinks were served via waters service or if they had to go to the bar. There were multiple members of middle management who didn’t offer any value, they were generally a hindrance to more productive of service staff. On the whole Christmas service was a bit of a shambles which could be avoided by employing a professional catering, banqueting event manager for the evening. We have previously stayed at other hotels throughout the Christmas period who understand customer management, I would recommend this to Pickalbratros as an approach to explore for similar events in future. General. The complex needs capital investment, (photos from first room 1330, and tired areas of the complex attached. We called maintenance on day 1 to repair the bathroom sink which has clearly been installed incorrectly I was electrocuted twice via my laptop, the second time I was electrocuted via my laptop, again via the same socket we were offered a new room and moved to 1229. (22nd -23rd Dec 2024) Outdoor entertainment. As mentioned, previous, customers avoided the main pool area at certain times of the day because the music was annoyingly loud, customers then came back at 3pm when the entertainment team have finished Zumba, and other poolside activities etc when its quieter. Not many people take up active entertainment activities, but the staff persist in hassling people to partake, a guy called Noir was particularly annoying and a little creepy when talking to customers etc. This is a 3/4-star resort, definitely not 5-star accommodation as advertised. See photos. There is a staff training requirement to understand customer wants and needs as opposed to what Pickalbratros think is 'what good looks' like. EasyJet have this resort advertised as 5-star, its not.
