My family stayed at this resort for 8 nights. The property is exceptionally well-maintained with picturesque landscapes. Imagine strolling through paths lined with streams, blooming flowers and elegant water fountains, all set against iconic architecture and the shimmering Red Sea under the warm sun - an absolute blessing! Perhaps due to the festive season, the breakfast restaurant Arabesque and the old beach were quite busy. Otherwise, the resort offered a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere for walking and relaxing. While we encountered a few minor hiccups during our stay, the hotel addressed all issues promptly and to the best of their abilities. We would like to extend special thanks to the staff who provided exceptional services and made our trip enjoyable and memorable: Mary, Omnia, Habiba, Shosho and Mariam from the Kids Club; Galal and Omar, the buggy drivers; Ibrahim from Laundry; Swimming Coach Ilona; Oxana and Diona from the gym; Ahmed and Raafat from the old beach; Rea, Mohamed (Luna), Gerges, Abanoub, Peter, Mariam, Adel and Nada from various restaurants. Pros: • Buggies were well-organized and prompt. • The Kids Club was the largest we have seen among all Four Seasons resorts we have visited (if you ever wondered where we have been, check my other reviews!), offering both indoor and outdoor play areas as well as classes suitable for children of all ages. • Swimming lessons were available at a very reasonable price. • The hotel’s back door connects directly to Soho Square, which has restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets - just ask the concierge to send a buggy to take you there. Cons: • Avoid the half-board option. The pre-set menu had extremely limited choices (except at Zitouni). Additionally, ordering à la carte incurred full charges - we expected a credit system to offset the bills since we had already paid for half-board. • Gaming systems in the Kids Club should be removed or provided in a designated area or locked room. We deliberately have not shown our 6-year-old any games, but unfortunately she learned about them from other kids at the resort.

This was our fourth visit to this hotel and our third as a family; we have been going to the Four Seasons in Sharm since 2005. Unfortunately, our overall experience was below par on this occasion and instead of writing a lengthy passage, I will bullet the issues: Positive: - Reservation and arrival all went very smoothly; - adjacent rooms as requested; - gym is in good order; - Sinai Blues dive centre is first rate, although notably not part of the hotel; - service in the main very good, although extremely slow at times; - good variety of restaurants and entertainment. Negative: - The rooms we reserved were extremely expensive and we were hoping that accordingly, they had been subject to a refurb since our last visit. They had not and are tired and dated, even if well maintained; - the concierge service is all conducted through an app. When I tried to book restaurants / spa / golf over the phone I was told to use the app; - restaurants are good, but incredibly over priced for what they are. The New Year’s Eve options for dining are limited to buffet style affairs starting at USD 405 per person, up to USD 650 per person. This is rapacious at best and quite frankly unbelievable as alcohol not included even at those prices; - we asked Concierge to book a restaurant outside of the resort on one evening and they informed us that they are not permitted to do so and we should book ourselves. Utterly bewildering why the hotel would adopt such a policy and really poor form. Never had that before in a Four Seasons and I’ve stayed in very many of them around the world; - absolutely zero acknowledgment of our previous custom and no effort whatsoever to make us feel valued as such. I am not sure we will return, which is so sad given that used to feel so at home at this resort.

The Four Seasons Sharm is a very good hotel, facilities are well kept and maintained and the rooms are in very good condition. Beach is amazing especially the in house coral reef Spa was excellent as well and all the hotel staff are extremely professional What i didn’t understand or like was how is a hotel of this calibre does not have a buffet restaurant for dinner ??! Why do i have to eat the same menu at every ala’carte restaurant ? Because after a few days to tried what you like as a restaurant and then it gets boring because it’s the same menu at every restaurant, a good quality dinner buffet that changes every night is absolutely essential at this level of a hotel Every other hotel in Sharm or Hurghada or Marsa Alam has a buffet restaurant … look at the buffet at Rixos or Steigenberger Alcazar for example & what’s even weirder is that on the hotel website the arabesque restaurant states that it has dinner buffet themed nights but it was closed and i was told that they don’t do the buffet nights for dinner….why not ?? At this level this hotel should have an extravagant buffet for dinner just like the ones in Four Seasons Cairo or Riyadh Ala’carte restaurants are really nice but a hotel at this level definitely should have a dinner buffet Also night entertainment needs an update , evening entertainment has moved on and evolved and yet here it’s still really kind of boring and more of the same each night ( should definitely have more of a show style every now and then not just a singer every night and one belly dancer every week ) and create a happier mood at night I brought the managment’s attenion to these points throughout my stay but didn’t feel like this could be done unless some one higher up the management can take this seriously Really wish the General Manager would take the necessary actions to rectify this.
