The very name of the hotel "Ecotel" alone is binding for me, as I have always been in favor of an ecological lifestyle. Initially, "Ecotel" on some websites (such us booking.com) in the presented photo gallery had included several photos of women dressed in an immodest manner. As a traditional Catholic this was a disturbing factor for me. However later when the travel was already booked and before traveling, "Ecotel" changed the gallery to the latest, much better photo gallery where the mentioned situation no longer exists. Peaceful place in these times. Due to the escalation of conflict in the Middle East and the world in general, there were concerns about whether to travel to Dahab. We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. From the first day of arrival, I was generally satisfied with the attitude of the hotel staff (reception restaurant, room cleaner etc.). Kindness, helpfulness, zeal was dominant, only with some exceptions. Good word about the animation guys, especially the youngest (I think his name was Zidan), who involved me in games. I had some challenging health issues during my trip and the hotel doctor kindly helped me manage them at a reasonable price. Impressive nature, a hotel surrounded by mountains and the sea. Corals and diversity of fish in the sea for snorkeling. The hotel room had a wide view to the sea and it was a romantic experience to wake up with the sun rising on the sea side and the sound of the waves. There is quite a lot of greenery on the territory of the hotel, including flowering bushes. The climate during our stay in November was sunny and warm, the temperature at night and day was around +20...+29 . However, the weather was often windy which contributed to the waves in the sea. The peculiar location of the Gulf of Aqaba and the mountains of Saudi Arabia and the Sinai Peninsula along it may have contributed to this effect. The hotel is built on a hillside, which gives you the opportunity to climb up and down and strengthen your muscles while moving around the hotel. The hotel grounds machine was also useful a few times. However, there was a little lack of directions on how to get there faster, for example to restaurants, as there were several paths (stairs). Being a single and living monk mode, I liked the quiet beach that wasn't crowded with people. Both in the hotel area and on the beach, many women were dressed modestly, including modest swimsuits. Although the hotel was quiet in general, a school team came for a few days, where there were both children, teenagers and young adults. Because of this, there was a louder behavior in places for a while, and this was a little disruptive factor. But overall, it didn't affect me much. Although the hotel territory were well-kept and clean, there was garbage near the hotel grounds. Also walking a little further from the hotel along the coast there were a lot of garbage and rubbish, which is a sad factor (photo). In addition, cellophane sacks and other garbage, even discarded tires were also visible near the corals. Overall I believe that it was God's will for me to go on this journey. ____________________________________ We were given a very good room with a sea view. Next door neighbors did not disturb. There were mosquitoes in the room. There was a bus to Dahab 2X a day. That was enough to get an idea and buy some necessary things in the market. The choice of food was sufficient and good, the quality was also satisfactory. The variety of drinks could have been greater (juices, tea, coffee) and they could have been more health-oriented, eco-oriented, since the name of the hotel includes eco.
