“Repeated stay”

Great vacation even for a solo trip. I really enjoyed it, especially the warm staff attitude. I come here three times a year due to facilitating climate and will never change the hotels as it became my second home. Leaving it makes me sad and give hope for soon return.

Beach staff really attentive, sunbed staff great and really friendly. Snorkeling - good but we just got a fe… more

  • Guests at Charmillion Club Resort say: Family 3 adults and 2 children (age 10 and 7), we booked family rooms and were not disappointed. Check in was easy, a bit slow after a full day traveling but no problems. We were taken to our rooms by a bell man - he was lovely ,,, and continued to be throughout the whole holiday, always chatting and helping us when he seen us. We put our stuff in room and went for a walk (was like 8pm now) Went to get some food - but it was being cleared away!! We managed to get some bits to eat though. Went to bar by beach (pay bar) had cocktails (amazing) grandson 'lost' his brand new iPhone - looked everywhere for it - it was not to be found - lesson learned - don’t leave your stuff in the toilets - on way back from beach bar with upset grandson we stopped at reception on the off chance it had been handed in (we didn't hold out much hope) - asked man - he asked us to describe phone - he pulled it out of the draw - asked my grandson to unlock it - and gave us his phone back - it had been found by a cleaner - We were shocked and he was very happy. There is a little buggy that will save you walking the length of the complex when you are going out! - also if you come back ask the men on the gates to phone the buggy to come get you if you don’t want to walk! There is a chemist just outside the main gates on the left - get mozzy spray from there - you will need it! We had mozzys in our room (kids leaving door open) so they came and sprayed room and left us some spray to re do it if we found more. Family rooms located by relax pool - what a great area! I am an early riser - coffee and a chill on patio every morning while everyone else sleeps - Every day the pool is cleaned and water tested! The lifeguard by the relax pool called Mo was so kind - and so attentive watching the children like a hawk - no jumping in the pools - if any one jumps in he (or any lifeguard) will whistle to let you know its not ok - the amount of abuse he got was unreal - mainly from adults - rules are there as you could hit the bottom - it's not that deep! One time I watched Mo teaching my grandchildren how to swim properly - they both can swim - but he seen where improvements could be made and was actually teaching them! How lovely is that? One evening as we were all getting ready to shower and go out - it was 'training day' for all the lifeguards - my grandson was watching - he was then invited in pool to train with them - he was made up! He loved it - I thank you all for that! Rooms were massive - ok a bit dated and need brightening up - but nothing I would complain about (Our patio door was a pain to close correctly - but once we got the 'feel' for it it was no problem) Rooms were cleaned very day - and I had no complaints what so ever - the man who cleans was lovely One day after we got back from the beach there was no towels in the room - no problem - phoned reception and within 5 minutes there he was the room with towels Water, coffee, tea bags, sugar, placed in rooms each day Milk is like 'gold' - very hard to find anywhere on the complex! - easy remedy - we walked to supermarket and bought lots of long life milk and stored for use! Main pool - freezing but didn’t stop my grandchildren using it - I too got in - as the saying goes - its ok once you are in! Relax pool lovely and warm Wave pool (this pool is great) - lovely and warm We were there for 2 weeks - only one side of the water park was ever opened - not once in the whole time was the other side open! Kids were disappointed as the big slide that goes into a bowl was never on! The food was ok - could always find something to eat - lets say we all came back heavier than when we went. The waiter (Michael) was so nice - always remembered us and remembered what drinks we had - how these man do this I have no idea… he is kind and very polite. There was also floor cleaners in the restaurant - they never stopped cleaning - and too all very polite. I have never been to an all inclusive where you are served portions though, to be honest I did find that strange! The chiefs were also polite and kind - one night there was a joint of beef, you could not cut your own but the chief asked how many slices you wanted and how thick - so you could have what you wanted no problem. At the beach for food the portions were also served to you - the portions are very small - but do like I did and just ask for more - one chief tutted but I just stood there until he gave both kids similar portions (one of the portions had like 10 chips on it! Other had maybe 25 chips - not having kids fighting over chips!) At the beach we also had burgers one day - I seen the chief place half a burger in one bun and full burgers in all the rest (5 of us eating) again I just opened up the half one and asked for full burger! Carlos on the beach bar is amazing - if your on the beach he will bring your drinks to you - and come around asking do you need any more. When going to restaurant to eat - be there at least 45 minutes before 'closing' as about 30 mins till the end they pack all the food away! Saad will come around the pools doing 'cucumber face masks' - free its all part of the all inclusive - they are amazing! Beach - not sandy - but all the better - no sand in everything! About 1/4 way out pier is 2 areas cordoned off for swimming - go there - it's so good! Lion fish, puffer fish live there! We all loved looking at all the fish! But even better walk to end of the pier - pop on a snorkel and mask - you will not want to get out - imagine 'finding nemo' you are transported into the film - once my grandchildren had been once - we were there every day - for hours! There is a life guard at the end his name is Saad - this man is also a credit to sea beach - he fully engages with you and is watching people all the time so it feels very safe - it's a coral wall that drops off - so you can not see the bottom - he watches no one is toughing corals, no one is feeding fish (seen both there things happen and both times he asked the people to stop - both times the people argued back - why? I will never know - maybe they feel entitled to break the rules - but touching coral kills it and feeding fish can kill them - so people like that will spoil it for others.... There is a lady on the beach who comes around selling little bracelets and necklaces she has made - she is lovely - we bought a good few to take home - they are lovely as is she! Foam party is great fun - it lasted an hour! Drinks - we don’t really drink a lot but my husband said the beer was good I had a couple of gins - but put lots of tonic in them so couldn’t taste the gin! Go to swim up bar and ask the bar man (Sammy) for a 'Sammy Special' - I have no idea what is in it - but it is good! Be aware - as in any all inclusive hotel - you will find the people who think it's 'normal' to drink yourself almost to death. Seen 2 females who could hardly stand (along with 6 little kids) and a very drunk man (separate occasions) - he was absolutely vile to the bar man, the bar man acted very professionally - credit to him Lady from guest relations comes around throughout the day asking guests how things are - she is so friendly and notes down all concerns and promises to help fix any problem - I did have one problem (with a bar man ignoring me every time I went to bar) it never happened again after I spoke to her about it. So they do take all concerns seriously and do try to fix. never once were we asked for a tip This is what I tipped in case it may help you Room Cleaner - $2 day Bar man - $1 each time we went to bar Waiter $2 each meal we ate Cleaner in restaurant $1 each time we ate Gardener $10 at end of holiday (he was always smiling and happy) Life guard (2 we interacted with mostly) $10 each after 5/6 days and $10 each at end of holiday Man who drives you back and forth to from gates $1 each journey Cucumber facials $1 each time Would we return - yes for the cost - it’s a budget holiday - yes the food could be better, yes the rooms could do with updating, yes the alcohols not the best, but if all this gets done the cost will go up! If you want pure luxury this place isn't for you - if you want chilled out, fun time, making memories this place is for you! We hope to see you again in October
