We have visited the hotel on numerous occasions and as usual have nothing but praise, Mr Abdul Hamid, the hotel manager has a wonderful team of staff, from the reception team when you arrive, to the cleanliness of the room, the excellent choice of food the grounds are kept beautifully, all in all a top class hotel. As the staff all say when you arrive, welcome to your second home.

“Great friendly hotel”

We have Just returned from our 6th visit to this hotel all the staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. We have Just returned from our 6th visit to this hotel all the staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. If you have any slight problems that you are not happy with they will do there utmost to make it right. The snorkling in the bay is good and then sometimes if not to windy you can snorkle from the main jetty. there are two dive sites withing the area but personally I have not used them as I gave up diving last year. One of the other good things is that it is only about 20 minutes from the airport.

In my opinion one of if not the very best hotel in the Marsa Alam Region. We have been visiting for years and this hotel has always offered excellence. Great and helpful staff, a super location and very well managed. Even with the best hotels there will inevitably always be a few small niggles and this last trip involved the hotel's failure to ensure that decaff coffee was readily available. OK it is a small negative but the point is that the hotel management were viper fast to latch on and deal with this issue. My wife is allergic to caffein. So thanks to the Hotel Management! We'll be back to The Steigenberger as soon as we can but I will look seriously examine whether we should use Hurghada Airport and taxi to get to the hotel rather than Marsa Alam Airport which is just 5 miles away. This may sound ludicrous but in my experience the "security" arrangements at Marsa Alam have reached Khafkaesque proportions. We faced no fewer than 6 security and document checks to finally reach the Departure Area. These continued into the Departure Lounge where no fewer than 13 security people and police set up a pop up additional passenger check and search. Have they nothing else to do? Yesterday it was notable that this latter check was applied solely to passengers waiting for the UK bound flight.
