I’ve stayed at Marin Lodge for many years before it closed during the coronavirus pandemic. I was so excited when I’ve learned they’ve reopened with new management. I booked to stay from the 17th Oct to the 30th Oct 2024. I liked the hotel before but now I love it. The rooms are still spacious and clean, the services are excellent, pools are clean and the public spaces are well maintained. And not to forget the daily and nightly entertainment was good. The food is exceptionally great all due to the supervision of the head chief Mr el Mudather who I often praised for all the tasty dishes on offer. I’ve met the General Manager Mr Mahmood Abdulaziz, a very nice man and who’s responsible for all the great positive changes done to the hotel. I will definitely stay again in my next visit to Port Ghalib.

It did have a very nice stay at marina lodge, great staff, poolbar, beachbar, the free sunbed’s at the pool and beach were wunderfull, my dear friends mohammed and omar (lifegards) gave me every day a big smile on my face, the bartenders mr ramadan/mahmoud/mohammed and the other ones where very helpfull all day, it was nice to meet you and you all incl the animation team made my vacation winderfull, thanks, the rooms are big, not very modern but clean and ok, in the restaurant there was a lot choise (breakfast-lunch-diner and the snacks) i stay there for 16 days and it was also ok, maybe till next year :-)

First of all, this is not a luxury hotel. If you are looking for luxury, do not choose this hotel. on the other hand, it is a hotel with a pleasant, relaxed family atmosphere. The food selection is not very wide, but every day there is chicken, fish, beef, roasted vegetables, salads. It is particularly delicious. Everyone can find something suitable for themselves. There is always a free table and the waiters are very attentive. The beach is actually a 5-minute walk away, but the small bus also runs for those who don't want to walk. The water taxi to the Marina is a fantastic idea, we really enjoyed it, and it takes a maximum of 5 minutes. The "captain" is also a very nice person. A very cozy little hotel, constantly being renovated and expanded, I highly recommend it to those who want a quiet rest. The cleanliness is also fine, the rooms are cleaned every day, we always got something surprising. There is only 2 bottles of water in the minibar, if you want to drink, for example, cola, fanta... it costs extra and can be ordered from the bar. If we come back to this area, we will definitely come back to this hotel. we loved it very much.
