My stay at MG Alexander in Marsa Alam was outstanding. The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and relaxation. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed. The view of the Red Sea from the hotel is breathtaking, and the private beach is pristine and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to ensure guests have a memorable experience. The food was a highlight – fresh, diverse, and full of flavor. Whether you’re at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll always find something delicious to enjoy. A special mention goes to Amir, who works on the beach organizing excursions. Amir is an absolute gem – he’s professional, approachable, and offers some of the best trips you can imagine! His tours are exceptionally well-organized and a ton of fun. I highly recommend booking with him if you want to experience the true magic of the area.

“Good deal when you have a last-minute price. Every day Pangasius fish!”

The hotel is not far from the Marsa Alam airport, only some 25 km. There are neighbouring some other 2 hotels. I guess that most of the hotel guests were Polish, Italian and Czech. The hotel is not far from the Marsa Alam airport, only some 25 km. There are neighbouring some other 2 hotels. I guess that most of the hotel guests were Polish, Italian and Czech. I really appreciated there were not so many people at the edge of Nov/Dec. The staff is very friendly and helpful and it seemed they don't wait for tips. Services were generally good. The beach is quite windy what is unpleasant in the low season and winter time but it is common thing for all the hotels in the area of Marsa Alam. Almost windless at the pool. There is a small lagoon but very shallow only some 0.5 meter deep. Of course, you can do some snorkeling from the pier. But there is a limited area for snorcheling and swimming, only some 50 x 5 meters in total. You cannot swim beyond the buoys. I saw about 15 different fishes there, however the coral is in 60-70% dead - what most of people may not recognize.. The room was OK, free safe, every room equipped with a small fridge and coffee/tea set. The armchairs in the room and the chairs on the balcony are quite worn out, otherwise everything was clean. The food was good, quite tasty, maybe there was a bit smaller choice comparing to other hotels in the area. Every day chicken and beef on different styles, unfortunately fish was only pangasius ("samak falea") served twice a day.. Tt has a special taste and smell that I really hate, but that´s maybe only my problem. There are tons of fish in the Red sea, but they buy imported Pangas fish - because it´s the cheapest.. Even if in the local "Italian Restaurant" you order Pizza Marinara with shrimps and squids - instead of that you´ll get Pangas Pizza! Anyway, they serve very good beer ! (I wouldn´t drink wine there.) Every day you obtain a bottle of water in the room. If you want to go for a walk, then only to the left or to the right along the beach (after you write your name and room Nr to the guard) towards another hotel Some shops with tourist prices are within the area of the hotel. Opposite the hotel entrance, across the road there is a small local shop with just few items, but terribly overpriced, too. Some agents offer you overpriced excursions or transfers, other agents offer you massages and beauty salons - try to use a small red flag exposed at your beach chairs - they might skip you.. We appreciated the animation staff that was really great and we enjoyed the animation evenings (with the exception of election of Miss or Mister of the hotel, what was quite embarrassing!) From 10 pm you can enjoy some disco which is situated in a separate building close to the reception, so it doesn't bother people who want to sleep. Free Wi-Fi is only available around the reception. Paid wifi anywhere else. I would go there again and I´d be satisfied but if only they wouldn't serve the pangasius fish!
