“LOVE THIS PLACE!!”

Loved the hotel, food was amazing in the buffet didn’t even need to book the restaurants، we did but enjoyed the buffet restaurant more! The Animation team were excellent, especially Libby and Katia, really made our holiday, room clean and towel art brilliant, if u like snorkelling it’s paradise

“Another excellent stay”

Our second visit to this hotel and they have made some upgrades since January. Looking great. The rooms are big and have great views, we asked for a high floor which we were given. All the staff here work very hard to make you're stay as perfect as possible. It may take a little time for your drink… more

Our second visit to this hotel and they have made some upgrades since January. Looking great. The rooms are big and have great views, we asked for a high floor which we were given. All the staff here work very hard to make you're stay as perfect as possible. It may take a little time for your drinks to arrive but its not difficult to wait a couple of minutes extra at busy times. A smile and hello to everyone goes a long way and if you say please and thankyou too that's appreciated and goes a long way. Lots of lovely pools where you can join in with the entertainment or a quiet one where you can relax. The beach is our favourite always plenty of sunbeds and staff will bring you matresses and towels with a smile and quick conversation. Again your waiter will bring your drinks if you don't fancy a walk to beach bar. Also because it was our second visit we were give gold wristbands which meant extra hour all inclusive, fruit basket and keeping our room till 3pm. Well just want to say a huge thankyou to everyone far too many to name for making our second visit a perfect stay. Hopefully see you next year and thankyou again xx

“Great stay”

Had an amazing trip for my first time in Hurghada. We were met with friendliness and positivity and the staff maintained the same vibe all throughout. Had an amazing trip for my first time in Hurghada. We were met with friendliness and positivity and the staff maintained the same vibe all throughout. Bar staff and chefs were very kind and taught us many Arabic phrases (shouda fayez and brakat sayad made sure we were happy at all times). The animations team were very entertaining and made the holiday very fun. Libbie in particular made sure that we were enjoying and engaged the whole trip! Also a massive thank you to the cleaner. We had a new towel character everyday! Thank you guys!

“Old hotel but staff make your holiday”

After reading reviews I wasn't expecting much when we arrived. There are both positives and negatives, Positives Staff, waiters, cleaners, bar staff all amazing. Yes you can tip them, if you want, but its not needed. we gave them a tip after a few days to show our appreciation of how they treated… more

After reading reviews I wasn't expecting much when we arrived. There are both positives and negatives, Positives Staff, waiters, cleaners, bar staff all amazing. Yes you can tip them, if you want, but its not needed. we gave them a tip after a few days to show our appreciation of how they treated us, and were aware the low wage and how many hours graft they do each day, you also build a relationship with them and they remember what you like to drink or eat. The staff make your holiday, without them the hotel is not worth the high marks. Food again, never had a problem with this, plenty of choice, somethings taste great, somethings don't but that personal taste, there is enough choice to please. It's not a big resort and so everything is located short walking distances. There is a quieter area, the relax pool, away from noise and sellers. And again on the beach, 2 areas one quieter than the area if you want to be away from entertainment etc. There are plenty of rooms away from the noise,( see photo of map) at the beginning we had one by stage, so we asked to be moved and got shown a nicer room away from the noise. Weather, was perfect and is the main reason we came to eygpt at this time of the year. Negatives The hotel is looking very tired, it must be one of the first built and it shows, even though very clean and tidy, it's bones are old and tired. Maybe needs a bit of collegen and botox..😆 The gym is crap, really old, basic machines, 2 running, 1 out of order the other one kept stopping mid run, no cross trainer. Dumb bells Missing, no x 6kg at all and only 1 x 5kg. You can work out but it's going back to basics. We saw the gym at the sister hotel and that looked really good, the makardi gardens is a much bigger and nicer hotel. We only clocked this the last night as ate at the Lebanese restaurant, which was lovely. Spa In a really dated building, you have to walk from changing room through reception to go to the spa area, as no changing area in spa area, which wasnt comfortable doing, when here are several man lounging about in reception. Jacuzzi is also open and in reception area. Days out We did a half day snorkeling trip with piano bar and that was amazing, and instructor took care of me as I got nervous about the water at first. Excellent staff, and organized trip, excellent snorkeling locations. Full day with tui in desert. It was OK, nothing to write home about. Quad bikes etc, all located in an area that seemed to be next to a tip. You drive out in a jeep to the mountains, for history lesson and camel ride, nothing felt authentic, poor quality, so much more could be do done to show the culture and history authentically and tastefully. The evening meal and show was back at the theme park, again nothing authentic, food not good, and show was like a fancy dress show. Was glad to get back to hotel, in one piece and still alive , driver who took us back, was not safe. He was still driving like he was in the desert, extremely fast, weaving in and out of traffic, overtaking dangerously, he had no regards to his safety or ours. On safari i get it, its a thrill ride, but using the same vehicle that you've just put through it paces and driving on a road at over 100mph,not safe. If Tyre had blown we would of been toast. Will be writing to tui re his driving
