“Another fabulous holiday”

We returned to this lovely hotel with friends who visited for the first time. The hotel is immaculately clean and well furnished. Rooms are big with plenty of space for clothes. They have a hanging rail and 2 sets of 4 drawers. There is also a safe which is free to use. Bathrooms have a bath and a large separate shower. Toiletries are provided but no separate hair conditioner so take your own if you intend to swim in the pool or the sea. The toilet has a glass door which limits privacy. Rooms have a flatscreen TV with some English channels and Bein Sports, tea and coffee making facilities but no milk only coffee mate provided. However the dining room will provide you with milk if you ask. Rooms have a mini fridge where water and soft drinks are included if you are on an all inclusive package but beer and snacks have to be paid for. I wouldn’t want to drink beer in the room but this does seem a little strange when you can get beer 24/7 at the reception bar. Our cleaner was good. He cleaned our room every morning and returned in the evening to change our towels again and bring us some chocolate. He also asked if we needed to stock up on anything in the minibar or tea, coffee etc. The food in the hotel is good and the chefs will go out of their way to make you something if there is nothing on the menu that you fancy. It was really nice to see that they now cook a meat joint every night. In the past I have found the meat to be a little tough but all the meat was very tender this year. They also do a bar-B- Que outside each evening cooking chicken, kofta and sometimes fish. The waiters in the main restaurant were fabulous especially Anoube who works extremely hard and is always smiling The 19 pool bar and restaurant had a nice choice of food for lunch and the service was good. We went out one night to one of the speciality restaurants serving Asian food which again was very good. It is a shame that you only get one restaurant per visit regardless of the length of stay. It would be much more fair to have one visit per week. We played 6 rounds of golf and the course was in excellent condition - the best we’ve seen it for the last 3 years. The course is challenging with plenty of bunkers, wasteland sand and water on a few holes but with a choice of 6 different tees on each hole it suits all handicap levels. Bottled water is no longer provided in the buggies so you need to take or buy a flask to fill with water. Unfortunately the water they offered was not chilled so best to fill your flask in the room beforehand. A buggy selling drinks came round the course but he had no water. My only slight complaint would be that the service in the lobby bar in the evening was not very good. If you wanted a drink it was best to go to the bar and order yourself. The bar staff were pleasant and helpful but the service from the waiter was not so good. We sometimes struggled to get a table for 4 of us where we could play cards in the evening. There need to be more tables for 2 people then couples might not not take up tables for 4 or 6 people when there are only 2 of them It was nice to see the manager, Mr Amin, out talking to guests asking for their opinions. We enjoyed our stay and gave already booked to return at the end of January.

Absolutely top notch. One of the best hotel experience ever. Every member of staff was ready to go an extra mile to ensure our good time. Nothing was ever problem for them. We would like to thank you everyone from the garden/golf course workers to general manager, I will just use two names of our excellent waiter Abd-ullah (sorry if misspelled ) and barman Adel but it would be endless list. Spotless clean, exceptional customer care, great food (very good chefs) and excellent room. We normally never plan to go back to the same place as is still so many to visit but my wife already is planning to go back in February. With Big Thank You to You All for making this memorable vacation Beata & Adam

“Not quiet 5 star!”

Me and my husband came away for a weeks break. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel and grounds are very clean and kept to a high standard. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with some attention. The wire on the lamp was exposed, skirting boards need painting, the bed maybe large but it’s 2 beds pushed together which creates a gap in the middle so your either left with sharing one bed or someone’s in the gap! Breakfast is very boring and very poor. We had the scrambled eggs and it was like water. No flavour in food although lunch at the pool bar was very good with plenty of choice. Drinks are awful with the beer tasting like water. The wine was ok but not to my liking. Unfortunately the big downside to our stay was we both got a sickness bug. I can’t say exactly what from but we only drank and ate in the hotel. I heard a few others say they had a dodgy tummy. Could be due to changes of food but we’ve never experienced it wherever else we’ve been to. Being able to leave t the hotel to go to another restaurant and beach restaurant is fantastic as it’s covered with all inclusive. There is plenty of great things about the hotel although I think this is more suited to older people as we were the youngest there. Overall I don’t think we will be back as we felt it wasn’t for us. It’s a shame as we were really excited to come here. I didn’t feel like this hotel was 5 star as we’ve been to alot of 5 stars. A few things need work on.
