Everything at long Beach ticks my boxes something for everyone ,good beds good rooms good staff good food our third visit and more to come hopefully! The waiters to the management all seem to have the same hospitality ethic a smile and nothing too much trouble

Recently stayed at long beach for our honeymoon, the room was fantastic, sea view after upgrading for our special occasion. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help you with whatever you needed, drinks brought to you, animation team were always wanting to get guests involved in the activities which made it fun for all. Service here was absolutely brilliant and would definitely consider coming back. Food was great, although picky eater there was always something I could choose from. 10/10! Would recommend for anyone who was willing to come as a family, couple etc! ☀️

Second time in Egypt and this was the best holiday we stayed in. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Food in the a la carte restaurants was amazing, we were very surprised by the quality. The Podium a la carte restaurant was our favourite followed by The Happy Buddah. Beach and pools were nice and relaxing to sunbathe.

“Don't believe everything you read !”

So the first thing you do before choosing somewhere to stay is read the reviews, which for the Long Beach were pretty impressive and some of them were our experience too, but not all. Positives – Staff were really helpful and friendly throughout. Shout out to Adel Fayez on the front desk who helped sort out a small problem. Our room was very clean, and large although quite dated. We paid extra for a delux room but the balcony was in shade the whole time we were there, so we didn’t get the chance to sit out as it was a little chilly on a night. The chap who did the room on a morning did a great job. As other reviews said, you do get bothered by vendors whilst at the side of the pool, but they were always polite, and moved on quickly when they knew you weren’t interested. The food was ok but boy did it get repetitive and certainly nothing to write home about. If I see another Aubergine I’ll cry. The extra restaurants were nice although you could only go to three of them in the 10 days we were there. Negatives – The reason I would not go back to Long Beach was that after you have your evening meal – say at 8pm there’s practically nothing to do, which is a first for us. In the main building there’s the Aqua Bar which someone in a review said was nice. This made us a laugh as my wife described it as resembling the lounge you find in an old peoples home where they go to play Bingo – only not as nice as that. It is horrible. But the staff are great. There’s supposed to be entertainment on a night but apart from one singer on one night (who should have been arrested for murdering the songs they were trying to sing) there was pretty much nothing. Someone suggested going up to Cascade – a10 minute walk to the more expensive part of the complex which we did. The entertainment – if you can call it that, consisted of a bloke getting 4 other blokes on stage and having them to do daft stuff - hilarious. Just what you need sat outside with a cold wind blowing. Thankfully we had BBC1 in our room and were therefore able to go watch a bit of telly. (never said that before whilst on holiday) There was one bar where you could sit that felt almost comfortable, and that was the lounge bar just off the reception but guess what? It closes at 10 pm – no idea why. I asked about watching football and thought it might have been on in the Sports Bar - now we didn’t see anyone in this bar the whole time we were there which was unsurprising really as it resembles a dungeon. Football was actually on TV which was great, but it was in a kind of shed outside which only had 3 sides. AT 10pm on a night with a wind howling in, it was just too cold to sit there and watch. Everything in the hotel is 4 times more expensive than outside such as gifts in the shop and taxis. One final bug bear – Red Wine – please, please, please, have some you can serve at room temperature and not ice cold! You can’t drink it when it’s freezing. To conclude – we did enjoy our holiday – lovely weather which is what we went for and we also had a great day out to the pyramids (£70 each) leaving the hotel at 1am and back at 10 pm. As my wife said, if they gave her a couple of weeks she could have sorted the place out and made is so much nicer, sorting the décor and guest experience out. It wouldn’t take much to do but we won’t be back to this particular hotel any time soon – but as long as you don't mind quiet nights in, you could do a lot worse.
