The hotel is very well-kept and nice. food very good. We are satisfied with the room. Animators make your stay more enjoyable. Every day they put a lot of heart into their activities. they’re gives us a lot of good energy. Also we have beautiful weather! I recommend this hotel.

Check-in: My Stay Dates - from November 23 to December 07 Upon arrival at the hotel, I was asked to wait - Quote: "To find you the best room available. We are here to satisfy all your wishes." 5 minutes later, the administrator with a smile informed me that the hotel would be happy to give me a room of a higher class than the one I paid for. Namely, Deluxe. I was surprised - after all, it was Deluxe that I booked and paid for. I thanked the employee for his zeal and said that I would be happy to accept check-in to a room of a higher class - but then it would be - Royal Suite. The smile disappeared from his face. He called the manager. The manager informed me that I was given the best room available and left. 10 minutes after my arrival at the hotel, my sister arrived on a different flight. When we asked to be placed next door, we were asked for US$30 per night - US$420 - for 2 weeks. There was no longer any talk of hospitality and satisfying all the wishes of the guest. The concept of hospitality for the administration of this hotel is to fleece the guest. Bungalow: Weak lighting - incandescent bulbs from the 1980s - 20 watts each Half of the bulbs in the bungalow are burnt out. The floor lamp by the table did not work. The safe did not work. The refrigerator was warm and water was flowing from it. The water in the shower and sink is cold. The telephone connection in the hotel does not work - there is no way to call the reception - only to walk - and it is a long way. The territory is huge - more on that later. I took an ice-cold shower after the road, changed for dinner and walked to the reception where I reported that the room was in terrible condition and unfit for living. They told me that in 5 minutes everything would be fixed 5 minutes??? I asked. This is not realistic. Well, 5 Egyptian minutes is about an hour or 2, the hotel employee told me. 3 days passed - I was moved to another room after I reminded 2-3 times a day about what was not working in my bungalow. The move happened after dinner - during the shift of the night administrator - I did not ask his name - but he only works at night. Very friendly and most friendly employee at the reception. He apologized for the fact that they initially settled me in a room that was in emergency condition. Restaurant: Breakfasts - go to the terrace to chef Ahmed, he will cook you an omelet, fried eggs, and scrambled eggs according to your wishes. Lunch: I didn't waste time at the restaurant - I always ate on the beach - with Chef Ahmed. Every day something new and always delicious. Dinner: A large selection of meat, fish dishes and seafood. Lots of greens, fruits and sweets. Pizza from Chef Ahmed - Italian pizza on a thin crust - very tasty. Room cleaning - everything is perfect. Many thanks to Fahd - always smiling and friendly, and most importantly, perfect daily cleaning and change of towels and bed linen without reminders and additional requests. Beach: There are several of them, many others have written about this I will say from myself, the ideal entry into the water is on a sandy beach in the bay - opposite the strait between 2 artificial islands-embankments. An octopus and a small stingray swam into the bay - to bask in the sun. Red Sea and corals: Ideal entry from the pier - you are immediately in the deep You will not see much before the buoys - but more than in the bay. Behind the buoys - all the flora and fauna of the Red Sea. Moray eels live 150 meters from the pier, a colony of rays - not far from the moray eels. Octopuses and cuttlefish - everywhere - look at the bottom. The cherry on the cake - the day before departure I was "lucky" to swim with a Mako shark. It swam right to the descent of the pier and I literally came face to face with the shark - right after diving into the water. I turned on the camera almost immediately - there is a video of this meeting. Advice - stay close to the corals so that the sharks do not have breakfast with you, they are afraid of corals and do not swim close to them. Territory: A huge territory with traces of former greatness. Lawns with green grass - only near the restaurant. A lot of garbage, both construction and household, all over the territory - plastic bottles, broken glass and cardboard cups on sun-scorched lawns. Palm trees are in a deplorable state. In the evening it is impossible to walk without a flashlight - in some places there is weak lighting - but in general after sunset, movement on the hotel territory is unsafe due to the huge amount of construction waste - many buildings on the hotel territory are abandoned and are in the process of collapse and collapse. If you want a romantic walk on the seashore after dinner - take a good flashlight with you.

On arrival the male Receptionist was miserable and not at all friendly. He should remember that he is in hospitality and the "face" of Coral Beach Hotel. He was not at all approachable on several occasions during out stay. It was only into the second half of our 2 week stay that we realised he could smile! The golf buggy to our room and transporting our luggage was very much appreciated and all the drivers were pleasant and friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful. Prior to our stay we had contacted the Reservations Manager to ask for a particular type of room for medical reasons, and Rahab certainly delivered on our request. Thank you so much. Unfortunately the bathroom was very tired and needed a lot of tlc. Restaurant: All the chefs worked exceptionally hard to provide appealing food but this became rather repetitive - fine if you are only staying for 1 week, but any longer became very predictable. Unfortunately, yet again, we saw Russian guests scooping platefuls of food into plastic bags to take away - but this was pure greed and so not necessary as there were sandwiches available mid morning and mid afternoon by the pool if they were that hungry!! There was no need to take food which other guests could have had. This isn't an isolated incident. Do they not have food in Russia?? Also, guests were entering the Restaurant wearing very revealing swimwear which other guests found offensive and they were left unchallenged. They should have been made to go and cover up. We were VERY concerned to see a female senior member of staff, a tall thin woman with long hair, short skirts and big boots, going behind the food counter and into the kitchen wearing no appropriate clothing,. This was clearly a Health & Safety issue and should be stopped immediately! It looked as though she had a bad smell under her nose and only spoke AT staff, not TO them. She clearly favoured the Russian/Polish guests and we never once observed her conversing with other nationalities. We were led to believe that she was ex-animation staff so clearly should have had a better insight as to what was required from her and not be so blatantly discriminatory! The Open/Closed sign on the Restaurant door was only in English and many times we observed Russian and Eastern Europeans totally ignoring this and walking into the restaurant even though it clearly said "Closed" but in fairness they were challenged and sent out. Perhaps a larger sign in English, Russian, Polish and German should be displayed. A Gala Christmas dinner was on offer but at £65 per person we couldn't justify this extra cost so didn't partake. We were entitled to 1 visit per week to each of the Egyptian and Italian restaurants but we gave the Egyptian one a miss as we thought that the menu would be too spicy for us. We did however go the La Pergola twice during our stay and enjoyed 2 faultless meals. The only downside was that they served soft drinks only and it was al- fresco, which we found too cold to sit out as it was near the beach. It is a pity that this facility was not used more by other guests as it was a different experience and thoroughly enjoyable at no extra cost. PS you choose from a menu so the food is prepared specifically for you so it is not mass produced. It truly is a little gem! Reception area: There is an extremely small mini-market in the lobby but BE WARNED. It is exceptionally expensive and the chap tried to charge us £9 for a carton of milk!!! We did go back and challenge him about this and, after some heated conversation, he decided to reduce this to £6!! There was no price on anything and when we checked the price of other goods we had bought, they were extortionate and we never went back!! His loss! The ladies toilets in the lobby area left a lot to be desired. The cleaner did come in regularly to mop and clean the mirrors, empty bins etc but the toilets themselves were disgusting. There was frequently at least 1 toilet out of use, and the other guests were to blame for leaving them in such a bad state. The cleaner could only do so much. Staff: 90% of the staff were very friendly and always "up for a laugh". However, this did not extend to the Animation Team! With the exception of Noor, Asonta and Ahmed, the remainder of the Animation Team were not interested in any guests, unless of course you were Russian. Unfortunately the Team's choice of music was to their own liking and they did not consider other guests and provide a wide selection of music/songs. The music was played far, far too loud and more times than not was competing against the hotel's pleasant piped music. We didn't have to sit outside in the cold because it was very clearly audible when we sat at the inside bar. Habiba in Guest Relations was particularly pleasant to everyone and an asset to the hotel. We had a problem when some guests used their own key to gain access into our room (which we observed ourselves) but when we went to report this, Habiba came to the fore and quickly dealt with this professionally and had our lock changed immediately. General hotel appearance: In general the empty shops were run-down and untidy and clearly had been for some time. This also extends to the pebbles set into the footpaths as some were loose or missing altogether and therefore dangerous on an evening in the dark. This is a trip hazard and we are so glad we took our torch. Overall this is a very tired hotel that wouldn't take a lot to get it back to its former glory.
