What an amazing hotel. We stayed in the villas which is of course more expensive but worth every penny. Also adults only which we value greatly. All a La carte dining and spotlessly clean. We were given an upgrade to sea view for the first evening as there was a problem with our villa, but the hotel moved all our bags and belongings for us seamlessly and there was a cake platter, fruit plate and bottle of wine waiting for us to say sorry. Whatever the issue was it was resolved! Food was of a high standard and the staff remember you after a couple of days. From check in to the moment we left we were treated like VIPs. We were there for new year and for us the gala dinner although impressive and clearly a lot of planning went into it, really isn’t our kind of thing as it was a buffet and very busy alongside all guests in the resort; I would request maybe one restaurant remains open for those that don’t wish to attend or go for that type of evening. We aren’t fans of resort entertainment generally and felt forced to attend. That’s not to say it wasn’t nice. It’s just not our thing. The villa guests also have reserved luxury cabanas on the beach so we did swim up room terrace in the morning, lunch at the club 159 and then beach in the afternoon. We loved it so much that we have booked to come back in the summer for 2 weeks and booked before we left. Please can we have villa 32 again?! Cannot thank the staff enough especially our housekeeper who came at 6pm every night to give us an evening treat and check we didn’t need more drinks or snacks. We walked along the beach and with this about 10 other hotels as they are all interlinked, none looked as nice or felt as welcoming as Fort Arabesque. You won’t regret coming to this hotel. We can’t wait to return in July.

We spend a week in Fort Arabesque in early December and we are considering to come back next year. 1. Weather: was great during 2nd week of December. Water was 25-26 degrees and outside between 26-28. Bring a jacket for evenings as can get chilly. 2. Rooms: we stayed in the adults only section. Rooms were renovated and spacious. Very clean, bathroom with all that is necessary and decent water pressure. 3. The beach: absolutely amazing! We wanted to spend time on the beach, just relaxing and swimming and it ticked all our boxes. The beach very spacious, it’s sandy with special entrances between the coral. The view underwater is fantastic, lots of fishes, rays and turtles. The sunbeds are comfy, and there are wind protectors which were absolutely amazing. 4. Food: food was ok. Not our first time in Egypt so we know the food standard might be not as high as in some other places. But there were plenty of options and something for every taste. The Asian corner in the main restaurant was the best. We ate almost everyday there, the management should look into expanding it :) Veggies and salads were tasty, I would suggest adding an outside grill and just serve some hot off the grill options would make all the difference. The Beach bar served set menu you needed reservations and the food was really good. Would recommend the mixed grilled, the kofta was absolutely delicious. 5. Staff was very accommodating and nice. We’ve been to other places in Egypt and here the staff was the most welcoming. 6. Bars: there are plenty of bars but there are a few things that in my opinion could be improved. The cocktails are just so so, maybe some classic cocktails would be better. No option to take away drinks from bars. I like sitting on a bench and read or relax in the evening and having the option to take a takeaway drink would be appreciated. The other thins is the El chapo bar on the beach, serving just tequila based drinks is not a great option. Some rum, beers would be much more appropriated at a beach bar. The ice mocha was also not nice at all. 7. Hotel and grounds are amazing and very well looked after. Overall we had a great stay! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is great and the beach is perfect. Highly recommend and definitely will be back!

My wife and I have been going to Red Sea twice a year for most of this century, and our first stay at Fort Arabesque was one of the best ever, so much so that we have already booked to go back in 2025. The food was excellent in every respect and the staff were courteous and attentive. A very well managed resort, and I was especially impressed by the lack of litter on the beach and in the water. I go to the Red Sea primarily to snorkel and photograph the marine life, and I found the coral mini-atolls of the beach to be in remarkably good health in terms of abundance and diversity. I saw a turtle on my first day and, there was a spotted eagle ray which turned up in the same spot almost every day around 09.00 and swam and glided around for about twenty minutes or until spooked by the arrival of divers. In most places I have visited in Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh in recent years, I have emerged from the water with the legs of my wetsuit crammed with plastic which I have gathered in the water; in one week at Fort Arabesque I only saw on plastic bottle on the sea bottom and it had obviously been there for a long time. Thanks to all of the management and staff at Fort Arabesque for a wonderful stay, and my wife and I are looking forward to our next visit in November 2025.

Tip 1. Print and take transfer details with you unless you intend taking a taxi from Hurghada airport to the hotel. We expected a coach transfer but MTS provided a taxi which was good but a tip was expected and actually asked for but as I only had 50euro notes that didn't happen. Tip 2. Print your accommodation details and take with you. On arrival we were shown a very nice family room but it wasn't what we requested. The guys at reception although very efficient love documentation, I'm not sure how things might have gone without it. Tip 3 The on site pharmacy has most things however when my wife cut her leg quite badly they could not supply surgical wipes to clean it. They're on the ball though if you should get the trots like we both did (not nice believe me).the wife says her stomach cramps were worse than giving birth Tip 4 Front row sun beds? I'm not saying they're not worth the 10euros a day as they come with mattresses, a purpose built wind break, fixed brolly, table and a chair, plus a cool box with what ever soft drinks you require. The only draw back is the pesky fly's, they seem to love the beach area in particular, not many round the pools or gardens and as for mozzies, didn't see one all the time we were there. Tip 5 Tipping, When we reached the hotel my wife exchanged Euros for Egyptian pounds at an ATM just outside the hotels entrance most of which came in 200 EGP notes. Later reception helped exchange the 200s into 50s However apart from 50 EGP a £1 or 1 euro coin was happily accepted Tip 6 Assistance. If you've booked assistance at Gatwick North Terminal this should be documented on your boarding passes. At the drop off point look for the small cabin type building set back from the kerb. Once you've checked in it should be plain sailing all the way to the aircraft. We had no trouble getting everything we both needed into one large suitcase (including snorkel masks) I think the final weigh in came out at 19Kg which did help with manoeuvres Tip 7 Snorkelling. Neither of us are competent swimmers and prefer to stay within our depth, that means 4ft in the wife's case, Even at that depth at low tide there's plenty to see and the coral is in far better shape than I expected Tip 8 Enjoy your holiday . Fort Arabesque is a nice hotel, very clean with excellent staff. Drinks are okay, nothing to get excited about. Food is great. Gardens are spectacular. Would I go back? lets put it this way, would I be willing to take a chance on getting the bug again and possibly missing my flight, afraid not.
