I’ve just come back with two friends, my review is honest and how we found it. Airport to the resort Picked up by an old beaten up mini van, he was driving quite fast hard and had to suddenly brake, the back door opened and one suitcase fell out and skidded 100 metres on the motorway. My friend and the driver were dicing with death trying to retrieve it. Lots of scratches and a few dents but was intact! Check in was slow, bit of a moody bloke. Room was spacious and adequate but in need of renovation. Three pools, one the younger pool, noisy and busy, the two others were tranquil, the pools definitely need, new tiles and a regrout, very tired looking. The grounds are amazing and well looked after with ducks, peacocks etc wandering free. The food: The buffet food was terrible and I can eat most things, but struggled here, everything was cold, same old stuff everyday. No microwaves to warm the food up. No nice presentation on entry to the restaurant, just badly presented uneatable food. The cooking staff were miserable, some floor staff were lovely. The restaurant is open and not air conditioned so was uncomfortable with the humidity. The drinks at the bars were served by miserable staff (even though I spoke in Spanish) they were only interested in tips, horrible mixers from a post mix and not from a can or bottle! The speciality restaurants were slightly better but not up to a good standard, again was cold and three of them had no air con, only two do. The wine was like paint stripper and we had to buy wine each evening for $US17. Overall we were disappointed considering the price we paid. Could be a great complex but needs some major upgrades!

Cleanliness is good room size good bed a little on the hard side pillows a bit on the strange side i.e. small and lumpy for the first three days , The buffet was fine then there was influx of Spanish speaking guess The food changed and went downhill food was cold choice mainly of pork. This seems to be the only meat that is cooked that is edible..we found it difficult getting served when not speaking Spanish , and the staff seem to not want to serve you in general.out of six speciality restaurants only one The gourmet restaurant is of any quality. lovely beach, but quite difficult to stand your own ground in the sea as there is quite an undercurrent . On arrival after a long flight, we were put under pressure to upgrade our room even before four, which in our pay for room. we was then taken to our room which was already occupied so had to stand and wait for 20 minutes before being allocated a new room. No apologies nothing.
