“Very warm welcomw”
Thank you for amazing hospitality. Our stay was very pleasent. Clean hotel, delicious food, beautiful views. Every night we could enjoy concerts and performance. We have tried amazing food and fruits. Beach was lika a dream. The stuff was very friendly and helpful.

We were nervous after reading some negative reviews. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Occidental Caribe. Here are some pros: -huge property was beautiful, well-kept, and had a lot of vegetation -room was cleaned daily -room had adequate air conditioning -food was constantly replenished at the buffet -always fresh fruit, salads, deli/cheese, desserts, breads at breakfast, lunch, dinner -breakfast always had a variety of fruits, yogurt etc, and had excellent egg/omelette stations -excellent speciality restaurants (top notch meal preparations and service) -2 beautiful, huge pools -excellent, professional nightly entertainment -beautiful clean beach area with many huge palm trees creating plenty of shade -many bars and speciality coffee bars Cons: -drunk, noisy spring breakers (not the resorts fault)...not surprised that some would have lost key cards or towel cards -faucets and shower fixtures were corroded and need replacing -low water pressure in shower and toilet

Everything was great except for a couple of things. The room I had and i spoke to a couple of other guests and they had the same issues. Rooms were in disrepair and dirty. However, the food was great which always seems to be a concern for travellers. The beach was clean and close. My advice: bring… more
Everything was great except for a couple of things. The room I had and i spoke to a couple of other guests and they had the same issues. Rooms were in disrepair and dirty. However, the food was great which always seems to be a concern for travellers. The beach was clean and close. My advice: bring a thermos so the bar staff can fill for drinks rather than wait everytime. Tip the staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed out week at the Caribe. Had read some negative reviews online but found, other than some noisy spring-breakers, our stay was great. The room was clean and bright and serviced daily and bed was comfortable. The 5 specialty restaurants were very good and a welcome change from the buffet (which was nothing special) - really recommend trying the French restaurant. Jeirin Feliz helped us immediately get to Preferred Club for check-in and get luggage up to the room before we even made it there. Irma Maderly up in Preferred Club was very helpful in getting us settled in and checked out smoothly. The real star employee was Cliford Bien-Aime. He was friendly and helpful beyond any hotel employee I've run into during our travels - and my wife and I have travelled a lot over the years. If we needed help, Cliford was there to assist.

“Occidental Caribe”
Covered in Survey, Overall needs review of providing daily needs of guests. Staff training should be mandatory. The only staff that appeared to be trained properly were Maderly and Ana the Premium staff, that is the only reason a "Very Good" was given for service.
