Absolutely fantastic holiday we would like to mention vivviane Tui rep she is amazing and always spoke to us every morning also lika sports bar she was amazing always had r drinks ready so friendly & lovely Rui bamboo it was r second time here and have no faults with Rui bamboo staff are amazing n so friendly also Johnny& victor at the adult pool absolutely fantastic if you decide to go you have to watch the magician show it’s amazing he is 100% excellent

This was a family vacation for 25 people with 9 rooms. I made the reservation through Vacation Express. The checkin was really bad. They took a long time, had rooms wrong and then my grandson had his iPhone stolen. The hotel had cameras up that would have shown who took the phone. After a couple of days signing forms and talking to the front desk, we gave up. There was no help with the luggage. One family was split up and the kids were in a different building than the parents. Our 9 rooms were spread out among 4 different buildings. I had paid for deluxe rooms but at checkin they changed some of the rooms to standard but didn’t offer a refund. Once in the rooms, the air conditioning in the rooms in the three story buildings wasn’t very cold. We were in a Villa and it was freezing. We tried adjusting the temperature but it never changed. We had problems with one drawer that wouldn’t open and a few outlets that didn’t work. After submitting the problems on the app three times, the outlets were finally fixed. The internet constantly went out. The room tvs were too small. The hotel doesn’t have the water purified so you can’t use faucet water. They provide bottled water. We never had anyone coming around and asking if we wanted drinks until the very last night at the show. The shows were mostly the same every night. They had some very talented dancers and singers but after a couple of nights, they all seemed similar. There was a circus night one night and a 60’s -7O’s songs one night. They need a better variety. The dancers really give it their all but it’s just too much the same. The restaurants mostly opened at 6 or 6:30. The food was fine for all of us. We went to Mama Juana’s for breakfast and lunch. While it didn’t have as much selection as the large buffet, it was quieter and the servers were great. Chili’s was the Mexican restaurant and it was nice. The Hibachi was Asian and one of our favorites. Ole was the Spanish restaurant and we liked it. It was raining really hard one night and we got there before it opened but they refused to let us wait inside so we left. We did make reservations at Palm Beach the steak house. It was nice. The Kulinarium was for Tiu clients only but the lady at the door was very nice and since they weren’t crowded, she let our party of 7 go in. We did tip everyone a small amount. The beach was full of seaweed until it rained hard. The water had some seaweed too. It’s just everywhere any more. The sand volleyball was fun. Be careful cause the palm trees are so close that when one grandson dove for the ball, his head hit the tree really hard. The pools are quite nice. I didn’t see any signs saying not to dive and the water was only 4-5 feet deep. The water park was definitely the kids favorite. Overall this hotel is a solid three star. Don’t expect more. They need to do something about getting the right rooms and keeping a group closer together. Also their maintenance needs a little of work.

This resort isn’t absolutely horrible but it isn’t great either. There were a lot of little details that just added up to make our stay not so great. We went as a group of 9 adults and 1 young child for a 40th birthday. Where staff is concerned the cleaning ladies do not speak nor respond to you if you say hello or good morning. Not sure why but when we would try saying hi, they ignored us and kept to their conversations or simply carried out their activities in absolute silence as we passed. The men are very friendly and helpful except a few. Particularly the gentleman working the hibachi restaurant was very rude when we tried to go their for dinner one evening. Most waiters are very kind and accommodating and they do not grudge you for tips. Reception workers were also very friendly, informative and accommodating. My issue with this resort lies with the food which was lack lustre and the rooms. They claim the restaurants are a la carte but it’s all actually buffet style. No matter which restaurant we went to the food was always served buffet style. Flavour was ok on some things, great on others and horrible on others. Typically something as simple to make as a fried basa filet shouldn’t be bland and flavourless but it was. I also find the time frame for which food is served very inconvenient. There’s an almost 2hr window where all you have to eat are dry burgers and hotdogs from the snack bar. And you always have to head to the Mama Juana buffet while on the beach or at the pool. Would be nice if they had some chicken and plantains going near or in the beach. The shower drain in our room was clogged so I water would back up into the shower around our feet. We asked for maintenance to take a look and we are still waiting for them to come! The phone in our room didn’t work either so we couldn’t call out to reception but they could call us at any time. The furnishings could use an update, but nothing was broken or anything like that. My biggest concern was the painting in the room that was covered in mold due to humidity from a/c usage. I’m not blaming the hotel as the cause but for the health of their guests things like that should be and can be easily changed for a small fee. All in all my stay was ok but I would not return nor recommend this resort to a friend.
