The buffets had a very wide selection of foods to choose from, but some at times were not very hot. The ala cart restaurants we visited were all very good. The Mexican restaurant, Tequila, was the best. The only real complaint was the amount of mosquitos out at night. It made it almost unbearable to sit out at any of the entertainment without getting eaten alive. I think they should spray or do some kind of treatment. It was a very common complaint that I heard from many guests.

If you want to have nice vacation, during Holidays season, don't go here. This is not 5 or even 4 stars hotel. Need a lot of improvements on service and food. If you want to have nice vacation, during Holidays season, don't go here. This is not 5 or even 4 stars hotel. Need a lot of improvements on service and food. Rooms are nice, but be aware of mosquitos, because hotel doesn't spray it off. In lobby mosquitos everywhere and hotel doesn't care During breakfast or dinner at the buffet, it's so busy you can't find plate plus line up for food may take 30 minutes Good luck find beach chair if you didn't reserve it at 6:30 AM. After 7:00 AM, their is no chairs at the beach or pools and hotel staff not even trying to help you. They have 4 other hotels, but you are not allowed to their beach or chair. They rather keep it empty, but don't give you to use. Guards are there for that Main buffet too far from the beach and if you decide to use buffet near beach, good luck find empty plate or good food. Line up for pizza takes 30 - 45 minutes. If you try to get food 5 minutes before buffet open, they will stop you and not let you in. Restaurant ala carte are nice, but not all inclusive. They allowed only 4 reservations per stay, with no exception. If you ask for extra soup, you will loose cold appetizer. Only one appetizer, main dish allowed. We travel few time per year in last 20 years, but never see something like that in all inclusive resorts. NEVER AGAIN

I have traveled to Punta Cana many times. Just came back Jan 6th 2025, Will give you the cons first, This is not a 4, 4.5 or 5 star it is a 3.6 star. There is a strong not so pleasant smell when entering the main lobby buffet, The resort dose not spray for mosquitos, many people were walking around peppered with red welts from the bites. The lobby and entertainment areas were a buffet for the mosquitos. My Niece had 28 bites from her ankle to her knee on one leg alone. I have about 30 bites total on my arms and legs that are still welts and itchy, I wore pants, socks and long sleeve shirts my last 3 nights, used bug spray every night. People at adjacent resort had no bites, their resorts spray for Mosquitos. The beach is very busy due to the large resort and small beach front, we placed towels and personnel items out at 7am every morning went for breakfast then to beach. Most staff were great, some were not friendly at all which I haven't experienced in the D.R prior. Check in took a very long time, Wifi in the rooms is terrible, you need to go to lobby or near beach buffet for wifi. The resort is aging we were in building 37 and it really shows in the details of the rooms, around toilets, ceilings, tubs, hallways all look rough, once you are there 2-3 days you kinda ignore it except one room had leaks in the ceiling from the A/C unit, they came 3 times to repair while there. There were 12 of us and we had six rooms, all six rooms did not have working T.Vs, they were all static, I called 3 times to have it repaired they could not fix any of them. Its just nice to have on at the end of day for short period of time or during down time in the room . They also pulled a toilet from another room on the same floor and worked on it most of the day right in the entry way on our floor level. Around 3:30 everyday it becomes very busy at the beach buffet, You have to wait for plates, cups and utensils to get restocked, this happened every day. It felt like being at costco during the pandemic when people were freaking out and buying up the toilet paper. LOL. We arrived home, 3 out of our 12 are being treated for their bites, they turn into itchy, burning red welts. 5 out of the 12 have had diarrhea today with 2 throwing up all last night. The pros, grounds are beautiful, the Bravaro beach and pools are beautiful. There is generally something for everyone to eat at the buffets, you need to book the Lacarte restaurants the day you arrive to get into them. The rooms are large and spacious. The large golf carts driven from lobby to beach make it easier to get around, The little shop village, casino and sports bar was fun and they threw a great News Years eve party. Remember this is the Dominican and Overall we had a great extended family vacation in the sun with great weather, great drinks and food, however we would not recommend the resort or go back. We stayed at The Royalton 3 resorts down last year, it is also dated but a much better experience for similar Cost. We have also stayed at the Hard Rock and is worth the extra money. Not related to the resort, we travelled air transit, the planes have more leg room and more space, however they handled our luggage terribly and damaged 2 so bad they cannot be used again, one was brand new. We are reaching out to put in a claim.
