The room was clean and up to date. The room service was great. What i would’ve loved was if there was staff by the pool area to bring us drinks. The shows and entertainment was awesome! They had a bit where the dancers performed to Rihanna and Ariana Grande music… it was such fun to watch! Another night, they had a silent party and that was such a hit too! As a Dominican, the food was good but could’ve tasted more authentic to DR food. The food was more bland than seasoned. Overall the experience was good and it was my second time staying at this resort and I would definitely come back.

I am highlighting pros and cons as I believe there are many redeeming qualities to this resort. Pros: Beautiful grounds, everything is well manicured, and they are always cleaning up around the property. The food at the main buffet is good. Not a ton of variety day to day but it’s good and you will be satisfied. They have a great selection of fresh juices. We tried the Mexican restaurant, and the food left a lot to be desired. The best item was the guacamole. We chose to skip dinner at the resort the last night and headed out to a restaurant we heard about by the beach. The food was very good. 99% of the staff is very friendly and truly want you to have a great stay. The best part of the stay was the birthday party celebration we had for my mom’s birthday. 56 of us were staying at the hotel for it. It was meticulously organized by Wendy with the help of Aura and they did the most amazing job from day 1. Never did I fear that something would go wrong because they were very communicative. The party was beautifully decorated, the DJ was great, and the food was a knockout. The seasoning for everything was perfect. If the whole stay had this level of care, this property would truly get 5 stars. Cons: The check-in process can be a lot less tedious, and the lobby could be a lot less crowded if they just started checking people in when the rooms are done being cleaned. No one checking in had a room ready, so the lobby was super crowded. The amount of paperwork was too much as well, its takes forever to check in. They also will not let you check in without the physical credit card you booked the resort with, so please do not leave it behind because you will not have a place to stay if you don’t have a backup. I honestly don’t know if they will even allow you to switch credit cards once there. I witnessed this happen several times while there where a pregnant woman was crying her eyes out to due to this situation. We were checked into a family room (two connected rooms) that was not the one I chose when making the reservation directly on their website. When I called the front desk, the front desk person questioned me about how I was able to do that. He had no idea it can be done on the website. How can he not know that? After many calls, we were offered to switch to the family room I originally booked the next day. This one had ocean views in building 6. This property needs a lot of work. The rooms are in dire need of renovations and even the ones that are somewhat upgraded need new bed frames, side tables, and more. One of main issues that had us disgusted were the roaches. We found 2 in one of the first family room bathrooms. The second family room we got transferred to had 3 during our stay. And they were not small. I have pictures but I will spare you. They did send in someone to fumigate but we only allowed them to do a small amount because we have an autistic child, and I was worried that somehow, he could touch it. All in all, I hope this property gets the facelift it needs because it really has potential to be great. It was 14 years ago when I first stayed here and I remember how great it was.
