“Surprisingly good”

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, despite the negative reviews. Cons: 1. We stayed in the Cofresi hotel section of the hotel, the room was 3/5 thus the reason for deducting 1 point from our overall experience. I’ll start off by saying first impressions the sleeping area was nice, but the bathroom was not cleaned and mold and dust everywhere. It had a huge jacuzzi that looked nasty you could still see the green and brown build up around the faucet and the drainage area (nasty). This was also evident around the toilet and bathroom sinks too. I wished I brought cleaning products with me for the bathroom. That was my biggest negative experience. Because they came to “clean” everyday it made it a bit bearable. The whole bathroom is also outdated, and needs to be ripped down. 2. Beware: no use calling concierge/ maintenance they don’t come at all. We called for a few maintenance items and they never came. Our balcony door was broken, and we called for a few minor things but no one showed up (lol). Other guests told us that’s a trend. They will tell you they are calling maintenance and someone will be there right away but no one showed. We just let it slide after a while but other people may not be so happy with that. 3. I am sure this hotel is making money, they need to invest in generators as the electricity will go out several times. Pros: 1. Friendly staff, 2. VIP sections were very nice, 3. Food was exceptional, we mainly ate breakfast at the Casablanca buffet and made reservations each night at a different restaurant for dinner. I liked that they plan your reservations for you. We enjoyed all the restaurants. My favourite was Jazz. There are many restaurants and lunch spots at different sections of the resort. We also liked the cafe. Everything was good! Service by the beaches, etc… 4.when we mentioned it was our anniversary they were so nice and made us feel very special for the entire visit. They dropped off a whole cake. Very sweet! Thank you! 5. Overall, we had good week. Recommended for families. If you are a party person, not much to do after 10:30 pm. They have entertainment every night but after that, that’s it. Can be boring .
