Really lovely apartments, basic but clean. Strange how there was only one of everything (plate, glass, cup) but that is all part of the experience. The pool is really good although some days were a fight for loungers. Typical Brits abroad putting towels out and then going out for the day which was frustrating. It's very central to everything although be aware Polis itself is a really small and quiet resort. The atmosphere was changing on our last day as a younger clientele was moving in so many have got livelier.

“Peaceful family getaway”

We arrived in Cyprus in August 2023 for 11 nights. We had 2 rooms 1 adult and 2 children in each. Rooms were sufficient, and equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday, but a little dated. Pool area is great for kids and adults, although the tiles on the pool floor were missing and coming away, which resulted in injuries to the children’s feet. Staff are lovely but not really seen. If you want a drink, you have to search for someone. The Russian lady gives nice massages but is very opinionated and abrupt! Which sometimes came across as rude. Polis and Latchi is a very peaceful place and have plenty of options to eat out and some entertainment in the main square. However, the hotel itself lacks any entertainment and the bar closes early (if you can find a staff member to serve you). The facilities at this hotel were perfect for our family and we didn’t have to fight for sunbeds! Overall, we had a great holiday, one of the best!

The hotel itself is clean and tidy. Room was cleaned and linen/towels changed every other day and more pillows and towels were provided when asked for. Pool itself is clean but surrounding areas need a good rinse. Staff aren’t overly friendly at all and speak when spoken to, no extra effort is made. Slight variations of the menu weren’t always catered for (asked for a bit of cheese on chips and told no). Sofa beds are like sleeping on bricks but blankets are provided which made it more comfortable. The hotel is a few minutes walk to a large supermarket which was handy and a 5 minute walk to the square where there’s a selection of restaurants and a few shops. Buses are hourly into Latchi where there is much more to do and only takes 10 minutes, a taxi back was €10 as the last bus is 3pm. Overall, good base but wouldn’t return.

This is a clean but very basic hotel which is in need of investment. The good points: owner Eleni is lovely and very helpful. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The pools were clean and welcome relief from the heat. The aircon in our room was effective, and the room was a good size. The rooms were cleaned regularly and linen changed every other day. The apartment is in a good location close to Polis centre and near to Latchi harbour. Breakfast is basic but eggs cooked fresh if required. Shower nice. Late checkout was provided at no extra cost and provided with a safe place to leave cases. The not so good points: the room decor is very tired. There was a tear in the dressing table stool, the hand towel rail hanging off the wall in bathroom, kitchen was old and stained with a very limited choice of cups, plates and utensils. No washing up liquid or clothes. I was refused an extra towel when I asked for one as apparently they can't provide extra towels on a Sunday! For a cheap basic bed and breakfast week away the hotel was fine and overall we were OK there, but probably wouldn't return.
