The King Jason is unique in our opinion ,as it offers the chance to recharge in a quiet, relaxing place. It has No loud intrusive music around pools ,which the many avid readers detest. Perfect for after lunch siesta too !Shock horror a library to exchange and leave books! No water aerobics or animation games etc. It is Not a party hotel full of loud British louts and if this is your scene there are masses of hotels to suit your needs but not the much loved King Jason. Thankfully! Main reason it is so popular and huge following with repeat quests. It is quiet so please do not come and whine. Given this is 2024 if you wish music please do what many repeat guests do and listen to your own choice of music privately with earbuds or headphones . So you do not inflict unwanted music on others. We love the refreshing unheated pools and many were enjoying during our visit. An abundance of comfortable loungers The hotel is in an urban setting but perfect for us as able to walk a 3 plus mile sunrise circuit and the same at sunset. Wonder full seafront walkways which go for miles. Such a shame so few guests leave the hotel. Sunsets are amazing down at harbour next to castle ruin. Go if you get chance! The rooms are spacious and are needing the coming refurbishment. Regularly serviced and everything is included like fridge, safe and coffee,tea etc.Huge TV which we never watched! Great WiFi Comfortable beds and a great freestanding clothing stand great for hanging swimming suits etc. Roma , room girl this year ,made us smile every other day with her amazing towel sculptures ! Thanks due. Another huge draw is the excellent variety of dishes at mealtimes. Doubt if you will find better all inclusive. Though sad to see so many choosing pizza and chips every day! Be brave as so many delicious salads and main courses. All credit to the chefs! Not as nice selection of house wines this year but hopefully better after refurbishment. So a huge thank you to manager Thomas and his excellent team. Special thanks to the gorgeous Maria ,on reception. Silvio the super efficient restaurant manager. To Oxanio, Konstantinos, Georgio, Maria,Maia and Karina you make our holiday more special with your kindness and attention in the restaurant. Once again the King Jason did not disappoint, this is the place we now call our 2nd home. I am a little disappointed at some of the recent reviews marking the hotel down due to its location and it being so peaceful. Please if you are looking to book a holiday here do your homework. If you want a lively beach hotel with loud music and entertainment please look elsewhere. The hotel cannot help its location and it is no secret that it is approximately 1 kilometre from the harbour, beach and bars. It is also well advertised that this hotel is quiet with little entertainment. I also cannot understand the moaning regarding the rooms, these are clean and adequate how much time do you spend in your room on holiday? Albeit I agree they are in need of a makeover which is happening later this month and this again has been well publicised. Also in it's literature the hotel advises there are no lifts ( except deluxe and executive blocks). If you need/want a ground floor please email the hotel direct to request this and if at all possible they will accommodate. If they don't know prior to your arrival they may find it hard to allocate especially during times when the hotel is at capacity. What makes this hotel are the staff led from the top by Thomas and his excellent management team. All staff are friendly and will go the extra mile to ensure you have a great experience. You only need to ask. Food is exceptional however if there is something you can't find to eat you only need to put in a polite request and the chefs will accommodate. The drinks are of a premium with plenty of choice. There are over 20 bottles of wine to choose from which can be served to you by the glass or bottle if you wish. Entertainment is minimal however throughout the week several musicians entertain for a couple of hours. The highlight for ourselves is Nikolaos usually entertaining on a Sunday evening. His asset is he can entertain and certainly play his instruments however I'll let you decide with regards to his singing!! All in all a great night if you don't take things too seriously. As I've said before and I'll say it again this is now our 2nd home and we will be back once again next week to experience, The King Jason's exceptional hospitality and hopefully some very late sunshine

Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff, good variety of food and drinks. This is our second time here and we will definitely book to come back again. A perfect place to "flop and drop" and escape the reality of the real world for a week or two. The pool area is very calm and tranquil, which is exactly what we like when we go away. I use the gym daily and it has a good range of equipment, more than enough to satisfy your personal workout regime. There is a regular mini bus (free to guests) that travels to the marina, mall, etc, or if you prefer it's a 5-10 minute walk. We haven't tried Pisco yet (the speciality restaurant) but it gets good praise - it's on our list things to do next time. We love the quiet life when we are away so this hotel is perfect for us.

The quality of the food was excellent if somewhat repetitive. The staff were very friendly and welcoming but service around the pools could sometimes be very sporadic or even none at all. The quality of the drinks brands was good but there was only one member of the bar team who could consistently make good drinks, the others were lovely people but lacked training and knowledge. The areas around and within the pools are in need of improvement, the hydro pool in particular has many broken grills with mould and algae growing in places and grit on the bottom. A lot of the sun beds were very worn out and the cushions extremely thin and uncomfortable .The executive suite we stayed in was a beautiful room but had many worn fittings and the drains had a very eggy smell for the first minute or two of use each day. There were two TVs in the executive room but the range of programs was very limited and it would have been nice to have a smart tv so you could stream from your phone or tablet etc. One of the biggest disappointments was the amount of people reserving the sun beds with the towels either the night before or in the early hours then not turning up to use them until half way through the morning. Also considering we paid for the executive suite I would have expected a small selection of beverages in the room replenished daily, a few beers or wine etc. Overall we really enjoyed our two weeks in Cyprus and made some great friends but considering how highly this hotel rates on trip advisor I certainly wouldn’t book the King Jason again or recommend it to others. If you are thinking of booking here and especially towards the end of the season be prepared to feel like you’re staying in a retirement home. We’re both 52 and felt like young whipper snappers lol.
