really children friendly (plenty of families and children; adults looking for a bit of calmeness have the option of "18+ pool" reserved for them), english speaking and trully welcoming&kind staff, delicious food.. low footfall late Oct/early Nov.. rather cold pool (British kids did not bother :D ), but overall weather beautiful and the sea warm as elsewhere in midsummer heat! beach nearby, shopping nearby, perfect location (if one does not insist on an actual seafront location)

Our suite room was large enough for a family of 5, and both the main bedroom and the kids room had seperate AC. We also had a sea view and a good view of the pool. The food was great- lots of variety and plenty of it. We would certainly stay again

Positives: Hotel is nice and crew is very welcoming. Food is great and rooms are much nicer standard than Turkey or Tunisia - clean and more modern. Drinks are decent and there is quite a selection. App with information is useful regarding hotel amenities / bookings etc. Negatives: Cold water in shower. Had to run water for 5min to get even close to warm and it even didn't work all the time - not very eco-friendly. Got a bottle of water and an apple on arrival but those plus tea/coffee were not replenished. Had been to many 4star hotels where it was a standard so for sure sth. on which this Hotel can improve. Others: It's one of very few hotels that is on opposite side of the road from the beach so it's a bit longer journey to get to the sea vs. other hotels. It's not far though - 7-10min walk. Had to do some trials and errors on the first day - some pathways will take you to the beach and others will end up as blind ends with entrances to other hotels. Tad annoying. Pool water was too cold for my taste but I guess it's subjective.

From the hotel I expected more, because it came recommended by local friends who stay there all the time when in Protaras. Things we liked: clean and tidy and everything worked in the room, except that there was nowhere to hang wet towels/swimsuits but on the chairs on the balcony; food was lovely overall, we like well done Cyprus foods and the hotel did not disappoint. For the little ones the choice of food was limited though. Why is pizza not on offer for example? Our picky eater only ate carbs for the entire week. We always had pizza slices for kids when on holiday in other hotels. The "lack of pizza" disappointment aside, the food was really yummy. I mentioned we expected more, well, the beds available for our family of 4 were somehow doubting they counted us. So the large double bed is fine and comfortable, even the sofa is OK to sleep on, but did anyone try to sleep on the extra bed in the room with a very thin mattress on it? I did and my partner did, because none of the kids could sleep on it, so we, the adults, took turns! Our friends had a room with 2 sofa beds while they were 2 adults + 1 toddler, and we with 2 children aged 6 and 12 were given that extra tiny bed... Honestly I will book hotel apartments next time, there is always enough space and enough beds for our party in an apartment. Also we all scratched our feet in the extra bed because it had pointy edges or bits and pieces unsuitable for young children. There was also a dirty blanket in the room for a couple of nights, which was removed and not replaced. Another negative point in my opinion was the shower. Room 1402 is an accessible one with a wet room instead of a shower/bath. Not suitable for a 6 year old, believe me! They run into water and slip!! It needed cleaning by hand with only a towel. At least provide a bucket with a mop, honestly. The room overall was totally not suitable for our family. Nowhere in the booking was mentioned that there could be different rooms available and that I did not book a room with sleeping places for 4 people. I just checked the booking it says: Room 1: Deluxe Superior Room - Inland Room for 4 people. Nope, there were 3 sleeping places + 1 joke of an extra bed because of which the wardrobe was inaccessible too. Well, lesson learnt. We did not use the pools since the water is cold late October and the sea water is absolutely lovely! While there were many positives in the hotel, a good sleep + safety of my children matters the most in my opinion. Whoever matches a family for a specific room (the one with a wet room in this case) probably does not know how children behave at all. They run, they slip and there is no place for them in there. The sea was superb, the weather marvellous, the promenade area kept developing in Pernera/Protaras/Paralimni area over the years, it is so nice, we love it and stayed on almost every street in the area. So our holiday was beautiful and memorable despite the bits the hotel disappointed with.
