We stayed at the Sunrise Pearl for the first time on the 25th September for 1 week. It’s our 6th time visiting Protaras but 1st time at this hotel, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it exceeded all our expectations. We don’t usually write reviews but after staying at this hotel, we can’t not this time as we always rely on reading reviews ourself when booking holidays. Firstly, when we arrived at the hotel, we received a lovely drink (some form of champagne cocktail possibly) Then, we checked into our room (we did choose a ‘sea view’ room) In the mini fridge, we received beer, wine, waters, coke and a fresh orange juice. That was all included, then we received 2 fresh bottles of waters everyday. Also every evening, a lady brought round 2 chocolates to our room & also asked if we needed anymore water, or fresh towels etc. It was such a lovely touch. We booked the Sunrise Pearl on a half board basis knowing that it included the ‘dine around’ option. When staying in Protaras, we always visit the Lemongrass and Marcello restaurants, so when we saw that these two restaurants were included, we knew we may aswel book the half board option. There is six restaurants you can choose from. We ate in (Lemongrass / Marcello’s / Reef / Hotel buffet restaurant) and then switched our ‘evening meal’ for a lunch option at the hotel on the other days. (As that’s something they let you do which we thought was great) If you have lunch at the hotel instead of having the evening meal, you still get a choice of starter, main & dessert, just like when you eat at all the other restaurants that are in the dine around option. The pool area is great. There is an adults only pool which is where we chose our beds to be. (Also next to the swim up bar) You choose your beds on the first day and they stay yours for the full week meaning no early get ups to put towels on the sun-beds. Every day, frozen flannels get brought around the pool and also fresh fruit. Also a nice touch. Overall, we found our first stay at Sunrise Pearl fantastic. All staff were very friendly and nothing seemed a problem. We were even impressed with the lifts in the hotel. Never seemed to be waiting long at all. Breakfast every morning was great. Unlike most hotels where you go up to get a coffee etc, the staff bring one to you which we liked as it seemed a better coffee than you get from the machines. We usually had either a latte or an iced latte. Breakfast was served until 10.30 every day (We found that between 9am - 9.45am the busiest) We can’t wait to go back to this hotel. It would be hard staying at any of the others now. Hopefully see you next year, Sunrise Pearl.

“Perfect hotel…a real Gem”

From the moment of our arrival meeting the friendly reception and porter staff, we knew this hotel was going to be good. We had a sea view room, spacious, spotless and nice added touches… complimentary .. a couple small bottles of wine, beer, coke, fruit juice and water ( the water was replenished every day) . And 2 chocolates each evening 😀. Brilliant idea allocating sunbeds and also the towels are sewn so they fit the sunbed mattresses another good idea. We had cold face cloths delivered to our sunbed each day around lunchtime fresh fruit bowls in the afternoon.again nice little touches. Food… great selection for breakfast and again chefs and waiting staff friendly and helpful . We used the dine around option ,another good idea our favourites were lemongrass and the Italian Marcellos. We also tried all the other options and the hotel restaurant all very good. Of all of them the Greek was the one we liked the least but what we had was ok. I celebrated my 70th birthday whilst there and the hotel and staff certainly made my birthday extra special making a birthday cake, bottle of fizz and plate of fresh fruit all complimentary.. such a lovely gesture…( I have to add that my brother and sister in law had a lot to do with letting them Know and helping organise various things 😀) We were invited to a manager’s cocktail party where we had chance to meet various members of staff and the manager.. it was a lovely evening. Overall we could not fault this hotel, I agree there is not entertainment every evening but not everyone needs this, there is plenty of entertainment outside of the hotel going on each evening. Overall for us as a couple it was the perfect place to be for our holiday and we will definitely be back

“Wonderfull holiday”

Just returned from a 10 night stay at this wonderful hotel ( our second visit ) joined by my sister and her partner. We arrived on the Sunday and sister was celebrating her 70th birthday on the Monday , the management allowed my wife and I access to their room prior to their arrival ( arriving from different part of the uk) so we could put banners up and balloons etc . I had organised a meal at the al la carte fish restaurant on site for her birthday and ordered her a birthday cake from the hotel . The service during the meal was excellent and they made a big fuss of my sister and dimmed the lights to present her with her personalised birthday cake , which was huge , thankful there were other dinners still present in the restaurant so we shared the cake with all of them . When presented with the bill ( you get an amount towards this restaurant if staying half board ) they had given the cake as a gift from the management, which was a very nice and thoughtful touch. The rooms are spacious and well provisioned, ( towelling robes, bath/shower toiletries/ mini bar with a free selection of drinks and snacks as a single use with only water replenish daily ) we both had deluxe sea view double rooms. Maid service was daily with a turndown service in the evening. Pool area well kept, clean and superbly managed by the pool guys ,and the big plus with this hotel is the allocating of sun beds so there is no need to rush down at sparrows f@rt to bag a sun bed , we changed ours three times as other preferred locations around the pool became available. Food: I’ve seen a recent review that said there was only 1 restaurant to choose from ? This is not correct , there is an al la cart fish restaurant on site ( fishbone) and there is the buffet for breakfast and dinner ( waterfall) there is also a restaurant for lunch beside the pools ( Mistral ) plus two bars . With regard to other restaurants ( if half or full board ) you can book restaurants that are linked to the hotel out on the main road/ strip outside the hotel , these include the lemongrass ( Pan- Asian) , marcellos ( Italian) , Reef American grill ( steak house ) , Kyklod Mezedoleio (Greek restaurant, Braseiro Rodizio (Brazilian steakhouse) ( similar to Rio’s chain in uk) and an all day bar & restaurant ( Chia) . Having stayed here before and tried all of them , as we were staying 10 days you have a maximum of one visit per restaurant per week , so as we were staying 10 days we had two , we chose the Italian (2 nights) the Pan-Asian (3 nights but one we had to pay ) 1 night in the Greek , 1 night in the American grill, 1 night in the fishbone and two nights in the waterfall buffet. The food choice and quality in the waterfall buffet for both breakfast and dinner is excellent and all freshly produced by the executive chef and his team. The Greek, American grill and fishbone restaurants again where all excellent ( however the fillet in the American grill was the only disappointment , all the starters, two ribeye steaks and chicken fajitas where excellent, just the fillet which was a bit chewy with fat in , unfortunately my sister didn’t really comment until late into the meal as she was waiting for some condiments, as the staff did offer to replace straight away ) . The lemongrass( Pan-Asian) and Marcello’s (Italian) were arguably our favourites as was the buffet . So as previously commented there is plenty of choice of restaurants NOT one , and all providing a wide choice and with excellent service. The service levels at the hotel itself are off the chart , I have been fortunate to stay in lots of 5 star hotels over the years with work and leisure and the sunrise pearl is up there with the best , not one individual who works there offers anything less than 100% in making sure the guests holiday is a good as it could be ! Hats off to the management for instilling this ethos via its staff. There are too many staff to single out personally as all staff we encountered were epic , plus I can’t remember all their names , but all the reception staff ( including Vera) , the waiters and waitresses who were serving in restaurants, buffet, bars and via the sun bed service ( Maneet, Kristiana, Pau to name just a couple I can remember) deserve a massive thank you from myself my good lady wife Jackie. Thank you all for making our stay such a wonderful experience and thank you for spoiling my sister on her 70th birthday. We can’t wait to come back 😃

“Are Happy Place”

The Pearl hotel is amazing from the location the accommodation the choice of food and the staff are all perfect. We have been visiting this area for over 15years have stayed at the beach and The Pearl the last two years . Both hotels are great and the staff are so helpful Justine is just such a lovely person and always happy to see you. And all the staff at The Pearl have been great always there to help you no matter what. Vera on reception and of course the hotel manager alway go above and beyond to make sure we have the best experience. Roll on September 25🤞🏻
