Everything was really good! We went with a 5 year old and had a great time! Clean, good food, perfect sea and beach (which was very close to the resort). Let’s kick off with a massive thank you to the *Olympic Lagoon Team*. They’re absolute legends, aren’t they? Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail make it feel like a home away from home (albeit with better weather and no washing up). A particular shoutout to *Deanna*, who, as usual, was a superstar. She and her team made sure our drinks were constantly topped up, which, let’s be honest, is one of the main reasons we go on holiday in the first place. You’re never left parched on her watch! Then, of course, there’s *Calypso* up at the upper bar. What a gem. Always smiling, always making sure we were happy, and frankly, by the end of the week, we were wondering if she had magical powers – she was just that good at keeping everyone in good spirits. The reception team deserves a massive thumbs up too. From the moment we walked in, they were so welcoming – like we were old friends popping by for a cuppa (if your friends greet you with cool towels and a cocktail, that is). They really set the tone for what was another fabulous stay. And *Kristina* in the shop? An absolute delight! Every time we popped in, she greeted us with a smile, always happy to help with whatever we needed – though, mostly, we were just trying to resist buying all the snacks. The list of amazing staff really is endless, but one person who deserves an extra special mention is *Elena* from guest services. She not only remembered us from last time but was genuinely excited to meet our daughter, especially since she knew we were expecting during our last visit. That kind of personal connection makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Now, let’s talk food – *consistently excellent*. There’s something for every taste, and we never left a meal disappointed (or hungry, for that matter). The evening entertainment was spot-on, too – a great mix to keep everyone entertained, whether you’re in the mood for a lively show or just relaxing with a drink. The evening entertainment at the arena was amazing. The entertainment team work very hard and some the vocals they belt out - goosebumps! The family pool toys were a big hit with our 22-month-old, who spent hours splashing around happily – and trust me, that’s no easy feat. Our room was a pool-view number in the main building – spotless and perfect for a family with a little one. Now, we must address the elephant in the room – those negative reviews you might have come across. To be honest, most of the complaints seem to be more about *other guests* than the hotel itself. We did witness a few people being downright rude to the staff – demanding drinks like they were royalty without so much as a "please" or "thank you". The staff, however, handled these moments with the kind of grace and patience that deserves a medal. If I’d been in their shoes, I might have ‘accidentally’ dropped a tray of drinks on a few of them! As for suggestions – we only have a couple of minor ones. It would be fab if the *Snackeria* could serve coffee and croissants from around 6:30 or 7 am. Sometimes you don’t want a full breakfast, just something light to start the day, and it would take the pressure off the main breakfast rush. Plus, it would mean you could grab a coffee for a morning stroll or sit by the pool in peace without committing to the whole breakfast palaver. But really, these are just tiny suggestions, and they didn’t take away from what was a brilliant holiday. In fact, we’re already counting down the days until we return for our third stay at the end of June (yes, we’re hooked). This will be our fourth time with Kanika Resorts, and we couldn’t be more excited. Leaving was tough – there may have been a few misty eyes as we waved goodbye – but we’ll be back before long. Honestly, this hotel is nothing short of fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Roll on June!
