Very enjoyable stay at the King Jason. Brilliant staff, at Reception, Restaurant and especially the hard working guys at the pool bar who were always making sure we had a drink! We had a 1 bed suite which was spacious and spotlessly clean. There was enough storage space with 2 wardrobes and 2 handy shelves in the bathroom area. Also hairdryer and iron/board. Excellent location minutes from the beach and Protaras strip. Hopefully returning next October!

We have just returned from 11 nights at the hotel. Prefacing this review as I’ve seen other reviews complaining the hotel is not to a 5 star standard, the hotel is 4 stars, it’s the travel companies like TUI that tout it as 5 stars. So with that in mind it is not 5 stars and lacks some of the luxuries of a 5 star hotel but it is an excellent 4 star hotel, we throughly enjoyed our stay. When we arrived late at night we were welcomed with a drink and our bags were taken to our room. In the room they had provided water and a small pack up with a sandwich, cake and fruit. Our first room was on the ground floor, I asked reception the next day if we could be moved to one with a balcony instead which they accommodated. We stayed in a partial sea view suite which was light and tastefully decorated. The beds are very comfortable, linen soft and a nice powerful rainfall shower. The room had 2 wardrobes for storage, kettle, fridge, safe, hair dryer and iron with ironing board. Also in the room is a beach bag from the hotel you can keep and some small goodies to take home - peanut brittle and jam. Pros: • The staff are very friendly and attentive, you are never left long without somebody asking what you would like to drink. • The food was nice and there was a decent selection, also a ‘snack’ menu to grab lunch/breakfast from if you miss the main buffet one. • Comfortable sun loungers over looking Fig Tree Beach, in a couple of minutes you can be down the steps into the sea which was gorgeously blue and clear. Some of the previous reviews mention that the loos are a trek away from the pool having to walk through reception and the restaurant. But there are loos accessible from the pool outside, from the left side of the hotel, down some steps. Pros: • A large bottle of water is put in your room each day and small bottles are available from the bar and a fridge by the pool. • You can collect fresh beach towels from the pool bar and dispose of used ones. • The hotel has an app, from there you can browse the menus and book the Lebanese restaurant. • Location is excellent, a short walk from the strip but far enough away to not disturb you. Cons: • Food was very nice but some of the themed nights weren’t that great - Peruvian night, Carvery night and Gourmet the point of, we ate out those nights the night week. • Cocktails weren’t very good and were made with sugary flavoured syrups. • Night entertainment is very steady, but it is a small hotel and there is plenty of activity on the strip if you want anything more lively. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would recommend. Below are some things we did that I would also recommend. • Turn right outside the hotel onto the beach and you can walk for miles along the coast line which was a gorgeous walk, relatively quiet and with lots of places to dip into the sea to cool off. • Turn left outside the hotel onto the beach and there is about a 3 mile walk to a small church. A busier walk but still lovely. • Lots of bus stops on the strip to get around with regular buses. • Follow the strip to the right, past the end and there is also a small church up on a hill that was lovely to visit. There are quite a few steps but it wasn’t that bad. • Booked our tours through the TUI app, we really recommend the Taste of Cyprus food & drink tour.

We have just returned from a week at King Jason. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. We had a warm welcome from all members of staff who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food was lovely and well presented. There was plenty of variety. Our suite was absolutely stunning with views over both sides of the bay. The cleaner came every day. The beds / bedding were the most comfortable we have ever stayed in on holiday. The fridge was not stocked well, just one bottle of water, which doesn't compare to previous all inclusive holidays at this rating with Tui. The sunbeds were reserved early, sometimes not being used until later in the day which was very annoying. This wasn't tolerated on previous Tui holidays at this rating. These are only niggles and didn't spoil our holiday. We spoke to reception on the last day about a problem. Antonia and Gedde were brilliant and gave a satisfactory solution, so there was no longer a problem :) All staff were brilliant, particularly Asen, Maria and Sophia. We will recommend and would love to go back ourselves. Thank you King Jason.

“Fantastic view of Fig tree bay, sadly food and rooms not quite up to scratch.”
Firstly let me say the Fig tree bay view from this hotel is stunning if you have the full sea view, we booked a full sea view room ,sadly we were in room 502 which is not a full sea view, it over looks the Tui Blue Nausicaa Beach, The room was a little worn out and had broken floor tiles, rust on… more
Firstly let me say the Fig tree bay view from this hotel is stunning if you have the full sea view, we booked a full sea view room ,sadly we were in room 502 which is not a full sea view, it over looks the Tui Blue Nausicaa Beach, The room was a little worn out and had broken floor tiles, rust on the bottom of the bed, the sinks were not sealed properly, when in the shower you could see electrical cables coming from the light above, the most annoying thing was the door in to the room didn't fit correctly, even at night there was light shinning through the edge of the door. Food was OK, quality was OK not much choice for each meal, the food didn't compare to the Sofianna hotel in Paphos (also Louis group), The guys that work around the pool bar taking drinks orders and bringing them over to the sunbed work hard are they are always on the go, there just isn't enough of them in peak season, Location for fig tree bay is excellent, however, the best parts of the strip are at the far end though. Would we return? sadly no, the view of fig tree bay is the main attraction, but a holiday is about the whole experience and sadly King Jason in Protaras didn't impress us enough to go back.
