I booked the Cosmas & Damianos package for 1 night for a wedding anniversary treat direct with the hotel website. I proceeded to check with the spa via email whether I need to pre-book the included treatments or do on arrival, they were very prompt and helpful with the reply and it was soon arranged to have them the morning before we left The spa hotel is easy to find with parking, we were early for our room so went in to ask if it was ok to leave the car while we had a wander. The receptionist was ever so lovely, she said we could make use of the facilities straight away while she checked if the room was ready. After a short while she informed us it was and handed the key cards to us (approx 90mins prior to check in time) We took our bag to the room, which we found to be of a very good standard, king-size bed with the best pillows I've ever used. A bathroom including toiletries and a coffee machine complete with 2 coffee pods, English tea bags, mint tea and coffee sachets. Plenty of sugar sachets, but only 2 milk sachets. We then went for a wander to find the spa, a short walk back down the driveway, then decided to have some lunch before actually visiting the spa. The restaurant is inside and outside, bordering the lovely outside pool (we weren't brave enough to test it out though as it's a bit chilly for us as we live here - for tourists to the country though, you would find the outside temperature warm though this time of year) Lunch we chose halloumi lountza sandwich and club sandwich, they were huge portions, and the chips were the best.....fab value for money. Served at our table by a lovely young waitress (who also served us at dinner in the evening) Next headed to the spa for the sulphur pool use, again the ladies in the desk were very lovely and welcoming and after completing a health questionnaire we were given a robe, towel and a shower cap for myself with long hair - compulsory to wear. Once changed, the reception lady takes us through how the pools work, it's a very different experience to what I've had a soas before, but was a lovely 45mins, followed by a stint in the sauna. There is a steam room, but this is not included and you have to speak with reception to use, which is a shame, but still the sauna was sufficient..and hot! There is drinking water provided in the sauna area. The relaxation room is truly stunning, fully glass facing out onto a beautiful tree lined mountain view. A wonderful place to relax before or after any treatments, in fact my husband fell asleep for nearly an hour after the sulphur pools and sauna 😂 Again there are complimentary refreshments by the relaxation room for use Dinner is served 7pm onwards, so we went for a pre dinner drink in the bar - wonderfully atmospheric with tealights, dimmed lighting and an open fire. 2 large red wines and 2 beers set us back €25 which I think was very reasonable. Dinner was then had back in the same area we had lunch. Dinner included with the room was a set menu comprising of minestrone soup (tasty) feta parcel (delicious!) a choice of chicken with a mushroom sauce and mash or sea bream griddled veg and chips, finishing with chocolate lava cake and ice cream. My husband chose the chicken and I the fish, both were very good. The meal as a whole would not leave you hungry for sure....I'm not really a chocolate cake fan, so I gave my desert to the husband! All washed down with a bottle of rosé wine (€20 which again I thought was good) We had a surprise of a heart shaped Vanilla cake covered in chocolate while being wished a happy anniversary by the waitresses (who all by the way we're very efficient and nice and helpful) The following morning breakfast was cooked to order, the coffee machine coffee was very nice (not usually a fan of hotel coffee machines) OJ was fresh and there was plenty fruits, cold meats and cheese alongside a cook to order menu (for the Brits, be warned sausages and bacon here in Cyprus is not quite like home) the same waitresses were on as the evening before and as lovely as before too. I also has a treatment on the morning of leaving, 50min sulphur mud bath, which is not quite as it sounds. You are immersed into a deep bath of warm water where the therapist then uses pressurised hose under the water to massage you all over, my therapist was lovely and checked the temperature and pressure was ok throughout - once that part is over they then sprinkle in a powdered substance (sulphur mud?) And turn on bubble jets and leave you to relax for 10mins or so. It was an unusual but relaxing 50 mins, where you can then go into the relaxation room and just get lost in your thoughts. Absolutely would come back and try some other treatments (maybe a day session as it's only about an hour from where I live - or a longer than a one night stay) Oh, and there's a cute little chapel on site too.

The spa has changed owners recently and although the spa experience was just as good unfortunately it was let down by the food served for lunch. In the past the food was excellent with plenty of choice, but there was only fruit and salads, giving very little for fussy teenagers to eat.

I have been going to the spa for a few years and usually have lunch at the hotel afterwards. The spa was up to the usual good standard, but unfortunately the restaurant was not! Before, we had waiter service and a menu, and the food was excellent, and usually busy. We were told this time it was a buffet, but it turned out to be just salad, fresh fruit and no protein whatsoever. Not good!! If I were a hotel guest I would be very disappointed. In future we will use the spa but eat somewhere else.
