The Resort is beautiful and the gardens are kept really well. The main attraction for us are the staff, who are all friendly, helpful and nothing too much trouble. The repeat client drinks and the evening entertainment was brilliant. The Resort is spotlessly clean, the pools especially are being kept at their best by the lovely Raoul and Jorge. The choice of restaurants means there is something for everyone. We were very impressed with how the recent power shortage was handled by management and staff and special thanks to Frank who gets the job done with a smile. Having breakfast at Limoncello is so special and the staff there are all so lovely and the chef makes amazing pizzas, amongst other declicious foods. We always get a warm welcome from Marguerita and Mariella and the other staff at Robleza, the bbq’d chicken is very tasty. We loved the Level Lounge and went there at least once a day, where Roberto made us feel very welcome. The Whats App Concierge is an ingenious idea, which we used successfully on several occasions. We spend a lot of time in and around the Level pool area and the staff there work tirelessly throughout the day serving drinks and snacks. We very much enjoyed the lunch that was put on when Limoncello was briefly closed, the food was delicious, and the staff were there engaging with the guests and everyone had a great time. We enjoy popping to Xavier’s Bar, who makes the most delicious cocktails and it’s so nice to return to see his and other staff who have been at MLA for decades. La Arcada is still a lovely experience of fine dining, despite us having been there several times over the years. The Terrace is always a nice place to relax no matter what time of the day or night. The entertainment this year was the best ever we think and there were some very talented young Cuban’s playing their instruments, singing, dancing, so much talent. The Sakura restaurant is also nice to go to for some fresh oriental food, it is nice to sit around and chat to other guests. We hope to return to Cuba next year, but for us it is so difficult to get there, it may not be possible ☹

We visited a wonderful hotel, pleasant and friendly staff. Beautiful beach. There is a fun, incendiary animation on the beach. There is an Internet connection throughout the hotel. La Terraza restaurant has excellent cuisine. I would like to express my special gratitude to the waitress Yoli.

Amazing resort that we will definitely go back to. We met so many couples that have gone back 5+ times. The food was amazing! Multiple restaurants to choose from plus a huge buffet. Amazing resort that we will definitely go back to. We met so many couples that have gone back 5+ times. The food was amazing! Multiple restaurants to choose from plus a huge buffet. Drinks were great! We upgraded to the level and had the cutest little condo with garden and ocean view. The beds were very comfortable and AC was a bonus. The staff is amazing and so helpful. We had a power outage for 40 hours but the main building was powered by generators and didn’t slow down the food or drinks at all. Highly recommend!!

Im only a few weeks away from returning to MLA, for what will be, I beleive, my 39th visit! The audience I'm hoping to reach, in writing this review, are those who have never been, but are reading reviews, to help with their decision! There are are many reviews that refer to the beautiful turquoise water, the proximity to the golf course, the Cuban culture, the friendly people, etc, all of which are true! I want to take a few minutes to talk about the people who work there! Often, I think people forget about how much staff can influence whether you have a nice time or a great time! Like anywhere you go, even when everyone is nice, there are always going to be a special few that stand out! So, I'm going to mention a few people by name! That in no way is meant to imply that those not mentioned are not great at their jobs and a joy to interact with! Heck, in spite of my numerous trips there are many I've never had the opportunity to interacted! Ariadna Guevara & Yohandra Ruiz, both work in reception! If your fortunate enough to have one of these ladies greet you on arrival, you'll know right away you picked the right resort! I know the other people who work in reception are also very welcoming, it's just I have dealt with these two ladies for almost all of my visits! Regardless of whether you choose to upgrade to The Level, or not, you will likely have some interaction with the lady who looks after your room! Over the years I've had a number of different chambermaids, all of them excellent at there jobs! Bar staff and restaurant staff, regardless, of what part of the resort are all good at their job! I spend a fair bit of time at the swim up bar, so I'm going to single them out, as doing a particularly great job of keeping me happy! Finally, there so many behind-the-scenes people who contribute to making MLA such a great resort! The gardeners, the kitchen staff and people, other than the chambermaids, who keep the rest of the resort, including the washrooms, spotless! I've chatted with many, without knowing there names! There is one individual, however, who has, for me stuck out, for her constant smile! She cleans various public areas of the resort! Because of her constant smile i wanted to know her name...Adriana! When I was there in December, she was working the area of the outdoor and Italian restaurants! If you see 😁, good chance that's her! This review has gone on far to long, so I'll finish off by reminding everyone, the people who work at MLA will make a "look forward" vacation into a "memorable" vacation!
