Lovely 4-night stay. Reposting this review here (originally posted on Brisas del Caribe's Facebook page). I give our experience at this 3-star hotel a 4/5. Given the value, I would return. We paid $653 CAD for end of April 2024. We booked about a mouth out. The room was dated but very comfortable. It had the typical Cuban charm. Slept well every night, air conditioning perfect, hot showers and our view of the front (south side) was beautiful. The resort is small but had everything. Come here if you’re looking to relax. The sun, beach and warm Cuban people are the main reasons I choose Cuba. It is true; there was no butter or condiments. No red or cream sauce pasta. No French fries, pancakes or coffee at the buffet (coffee was always available at the lobby though). We did enjoy the tasty traditional Cuban cooking, fresh fruit and fresh buns every day. Dessert was limited to ice cream, pudding, cookies and, if you were lucky, there was leche flan a couple of days. Staff were warm but I sense a bit of broken spirits which was sad to me. The country is suffering and we felt it. We tried to bring some smiles to their faces by offering gifts and tips. We know it goes a long way. We didn’t meet many fellow Canadians. Mostly Russians and Cuban locals. It seems the concept of lineups and waiting your turn is lost on a few people. It was irritating to be honest but we tried to be patient. During the weekend, there were lineups into the buffet so we chose the Grill by the beach at lunch and went to dinner later each night. It was only super busy during the weekend (Sat and Sun). We do appreciate the staff trying to communicate with us despite the language barrier. Special thanks to the front desk (they are all helpful) and guest service manager. On the last day, my niece was unwell and they allowed us to stay in our room for a couple more hours. We are so grateful. We adored the staff at the beach grill and the cooks who came out to serve the food. Always smiling. Appreciate the animation team who didn’t hassle the guests to participate. They knew who wanted to join and who just wanted to relax. The weather was perfect. The water and sand; the best in the world! The grounds are very well kept despite some structures in much need of repair. None of this dampened our stay. Again, would return for the value. Just research before you come. Know that things are limited or non existent. We did just this and enjoyed our stay very much. I recommend you bring your own beach towel, hand sanitizer, napkins and a reusable mug or cup. Bring dish soap to clean and rinse with the bottled water. The flimsy plastic cups don’t hold much and bad for the environment. Always bring toilet paper and soap to the public washrooms. They didn’t always have.

Good and comfortable hotel to spend a few days in Varadero. The service is very attentive and helpful, the cleanliness is good and the food is delicious and varied. The best thing is the private access to the beach, the amenities and the aquatic services offered free of charge. It would be nice if the hotel could provide a transfer service to the airport because it is something complicated to solve in Cuba. I would repeat !

We have had a spectacular time, of course they have some deficit but something normal, they have wonderful workers, they will always take care of making you happy. We were surprised that there were such young students but they are very good. I remember a very friendly young man named Lasarito, Keyla, the worker who accompanied him very professionally, they always tried to make us feel carefree and happy. There was a young woman, I think her name was Naylen, very nice. In the lobby bar we met Boris and Gisell some fantastic people with a delicious coffee. We remind you all with joy.
