On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

We rented this apartment for a one week family holiday in Split. The host was very friendly, and extremely accommodating with our late arrival and department times. The apartment decor and facilities may be a little dated, but it is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. It is about a 20 minute walk into the city centre, which became a little much for our children by the end of the week, but it would also be easy to get the bus if you'd prefer. There are a number of supermarkets and a bakery near by, though if you want to eat out, you have to go into the city centre.
