I was greeted at reception by Karlo, a manager, not normally at reception. Wonderful experience. Warm and friendly and fast. He brought us to our room, and we received an upgrade. I had booked through Amex, but did not expect this type of upgrade. Anytime we saw Karlo he was smiling and asked if everything was great or if he could do anything. We also had experiences with front desk people Matija and Danica who were also very helpful. Enjoyed the pool area a couple of times. The breakfast buffet has everything that you could want and more. Had lunch on our departure day at the casual restaurant adjacent to the bar on the terrace. The food was great there as well. Housekeeping was prompt and our room had been made up every day by the time we were back from mornings in old town. Would certainly stay at other Rixos properties. Have stayed at other Accor brands and enjoyed those stays as well.

“Combined Birthday and wedding week away.”

Not often you get exactly as described on the tin. Right from the start with Josip greeting us from the taxi to the lovely reception staff and all other areas, housekeeping, dining room, pool side and bar staff in the various areas , all staff were amazing . Very well appointed hotel, all areas were tastefully and well furnished . We arrived just after a storm had wiped out all of the cabanas and many chairs and areas within the lounging and bathing area. The staff worked ever so hard and efficiently to have the area and pool reopened quickly. If you think breakfast was good with an amazing selection, we tried one of the theme nights, oh my goodness the selection and quality was excellent. All in all a lovely hotel. Very well situated. Great bars and restaurants. Excellent spa facility for guest at no extra charge.

“Mixed feelings”

Great location, near the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Staff was very kind and helpful. Great location, near the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Staff was very kind and helpful. A special thanks to receptionist Karlo (who has an impressive knowledge of the history of Dubrovnik), chief cook Revindran and his team, and all the friendly waiters and waitresses in the restaurant. Food was exceptionnaly good, fresh and with much variation. On the downside, the accomodation is in need of a renovation. The floor tiles in our room were loose, the showers and toilets in the spa area were not of the level you would expect from a Premium 5 star hotel.

We arrived at 2.30 pm greeted by porter and offered a welcome drink. Check-in was smooth and efficient then porter showed us to our room explaining all the hotel facilities and location. Room was modern and clean with a large balcony looking out over the beautiful coastline. Robes and slippers provided with ample good quality toiletries etc. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice of items (including prosecco) and good quality. Only negative was the tea/coffee service which we found confusing and inconsistent - sometimes orders were taken, but often service was slow or non-existent. Gluten free area with bread and croissants. Cereal was available on request. We tried the poolbar, food and drink was expensive so we didn't use. This also applies to the main lobbybar and in our opinion this makes the atmosphere a bit sterile (although this was at end of season). Large heated indoor pool was lovely. Excellent spa facilities. Entrance to sea was by a ladder from lower decking.
