Great hotel and the staff were nice, the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Plenty of bars within walking distance and only a short bus ride into Dubrovnik they run frequently but can get very busy. No problem getting a bed around the pool and there is a section by the sea specifically for the hotel which you can use. We found if beds were unoccupied for over an hour the staff would remove the towels which is a good thing in my opinion. On departure my son had left his air pods in the room, we contacted the hotel who posted them out to our home address which we were very grateful for. The hotel had evening entertainment usually a band which is very relaxed with a great ambience. There was a restaurant on top of the hill overlooking Dubrovnik called Panorama, which is well worth a visit the views were stunning we got an Uber there and the cable car down. I advice to pre book this well in advance of your trip.

Luckily they offer an al a carte menu so managed to get a burger. Maybe it’s because we went at the beginning of June so the hotel wasn’t as busy and they didn’t put as much food out? Bars: The hotel bars are fab. The cocktails they make are lovely. Pool: nice pool, never had an issue getting sun beds for the 6 of us. Super chilled out. Rooms were really nice, super spacious and clean. Recommendations: -Cave Bar More -Restaurant More -Tutto Bene - perfect lunch spot, 2 min walk from hotel. -Ponat Beach Bar -Panorama Restaurant (Must book)! -Gradska Kavana Arsenal (recommend booking)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kompas during our stay in Dubrovnik. A short ride by bus or car from the Old Town, but away from its throng of bustling tourists, the hotel is well located. Our spacious room (with balcony) overlooked the beautiful Lapad Bay beachfront and the sea beyond. And the hotel’s Sphere Restaurant was wonderful, with a varied menu with great choices for every meal. We took some of our meals outdoors, facing the sea. And at night, we enjoyed live entertainment while we dined under the stars. This was a wonderful place for our three-night stay in Dubrovnik!

Fantastic hotel, lucky last minute choice by us. We just so happened to be staying when they were hosting a climate conference and we were some of the only guests who were not delegates. Despite them being extremely busy, we had top class service. This is a beautiful, newly refurbished hotel which gorgeous views and a brilliant location. Right on a nice, small beach, but has it's own pools, indoor and outdoor and it's close enough to old town by bus or cab. Lovely food quality for the included meals and good quality cocktails in the cocktail bar. We had a hugh floor room with a beautiful view of the beach and the bay which had comfortable beds, very clean and a lovely sized balcony to enjoy the sun. In room fridge with a selection of drinks which we did consume as the price was quite good. I had a lovely massage, and we used the sauna and indoor pool aswell as the outdoor pool area. Couldn't find a fault at all. Every staff member had a great attitude, was really helpful with suggestions for dinner booking and getting around Dubrovnik and offered to help us with bookings if we needed. I listened to them dealing with many customers and their explanations, helpfulness and demeanour were a real credit. Already looking to try and book for another trip. Well done!

We had the most fabulous week staying at the Hotel Kompas. From the minute we arrived, the warm welcome at reception to the lovely room we stayed in.. loved our daily chocolates at night too. We were on the 5th floor albeit we didn’t have the best view but that didn’t spoil the stay. The breakfast in the morning has absolutely everything available, the restaurant at night serves delicious food and then the rooftop bar is the icing on the cake. The hotel is perfectly located on the Lapad Promenade with plenty of restaurants and bars a short walking distance away. So glad we booked to stay here for our first trip to Dubrovnik. Thank you for making it such a memorable stay, we hope to return.
