We had such a lovely stay at the Hotel Adria, the beds were super comfortable but our son only got a camp bed, he would have loved a single bed as comfy as ours but he was fine for the 4 sleeps. We had some trouble with workers working in a room outside our hotel room, on plumbing or electrics on their phones speaking very loudly and talking loudly to each other about 8am on 2 mornings, i went to ask them to keep it down but they just shrugged at me and told me they were working but after a chat with the desk the following morning they were quieter. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of tables it was lovely and clean and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is a bit outside the old town so in the 3 days we were there we spent about €80 on taxis (not including airport transfers which are €55 each way). The taxi men seem to make up prices in their heads when one trip can cost €12 the same trip next day could be €25! Ask before you get in how much for the journey, but they were all very nice and tried to speak to us in English. The steps down to the Port are very close but near 500 steps they seem never ending! We ate in the hotel one night and the food was really nice. My son loved the indoor pool, never seemed to be anyone at the desk though to get towels but changing rooms etc are all spotless. A must try in the hotel is the Long Island Ice Tea yum yum.

While on visit to Balkan countries I selected Adria Hotel and my choice I suppose was perfect. The hotel is quite modern with well appointed room and bathroom. The room ambience and view from balcony was fantastic. The beds were comfortable, there was kettle, minibar, locker, neat & clean linen & towels, etc. Enjoyed Sunset while having a drink from the balcony attached with bar. Buffet and dinner spread is quite good. All tye staff carried smile on the face. From near the Hotel Bus No 3 takes you to the Down town the happening place, orher wide uber costs around Euro 10.

The pros are the hotel interior is nice, the rooms are well appointed, the staff are nice and friendly and the housekeeping is good. The hotel is situated on a high hill above a bay below and behind it is a busy main road. There are very steep steps down to the harbour where the cafes and restaurants are. Walking down is fine but walking back up is difficult especially during the warmest parts of the day. Some rooms will have a decent view of the bay but there are some awful looking apartment blocks obstructing the view and over looking the pool area. The food in the hotel is 4/10 but because of the isolated location the restaurant is busy Breakfast is €18 and dinner is €28 for buffet. Quality is not great but cheaper than general Dubrovnik prices. A bus or taxi is required for the old town. The location is probably the main drawback, not easy to shop for essentials or alternative food choices without a taxi home.
