“Great hotel - great staff”

This is our 2nd visit to the Blue Sun Berulia - excellent hotel. Two fabulous pools, always loads of sun beds, views to die for (sea and side sea facing), mountain views from the other rooms. Close to Brela (fabulous coastal path) and Baska Voda in the other direction. Shingle beach, safe water, and rental of sun beds and parasols. Only one word of warning - there are lots of steps to get down to beach level. Good low key evening entertainment with many excellent local artists. AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL!! The staff here are fantastic - always friendly, helpful, and kind. Very special mention has to go to Jovana, and Nahid, Jelka, and also to Luka . These people made our stay so very enjoyable - thank you so much!

“Perfect!”

Well what can I say, honestly the best hotel I have ever been to. Very luxurious, amazing food, super clean and the most important thing... the staff. They are extremely helpful and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. However one member of staff in particular made our holiday. Luka, what a legend. He made our holiday very special. He is there to make sure everyone is having a good time and he does an incredible job at it. So thank you again Luka!

“Perfect holiday!”

Just returned from a 12 day holiday at Bluesun hotel Berulia. What a wonderful place this is. We are a family of 4 with 2 daughters in their 20's. Had 2 x standard sea view rooms (321 & 322) overlooking the pool and beautiful sea view with dinner and breakfast. I am a little confused over some of the reviews on here. I think in a 5 star hotel you are always going to have people with unrealistic and unnecessary expectations and take it from me (and everyone else we met on this trip) that this hotel is absolutely perfect for singles, couples, families young and old. You are right on the sea front with steps down to the lovely promenade that meanders for a few miles either side of the hotel. The lovely pebbly, clean beaches are at the foot of the hotel which we visited and swam in each day. The food at the hotel is probably the nicest we have had overall (we have been to many hotels) and what we all loved is that EVERY person who worked at the hotel gives you a smile and says hello. The manager of the hotel is quite promenant and is there all the time, greeting people and helping his staff team. He and his team all seeming to love their jobs (I love that). Lovely atmosphere in this hotel and would thoroughly recommend. Definitely one to go back to. Noticed local cafes closing down from 1st October- but still a few dotted around that were open. Also, important to mention that the hotel allows you to wear smart shorts at dinner. This is always a must for my hubby as he wears shorts throughout the winter even in the UK. “Lovely stay”

We stayed for a week travelling with Jet2. We stayed in a sea view room which had stunning views across to the island of Brac. We loved sitting on our balcony each evening watching the sun set. We stayed for a week travelling with Jet2. We stayed in a sea view room which had stunning views across to the island of Brac. We loved sitting on our balcony each evening watching the sun set. The room was very comfortable and felt spacious. One minor problem was the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Pool areas all great with loads of sun beds and steps down to the beach. As mentioned, in previous reviews a really nice walk along the sea front in either direction will take you to small towns with plenty of cafes/restaurants. Although due to the season coming to an end some had already shut down The restaurant always had a good selection/variety of food. Really was something for everyone. Breakfast is from 7-11am and dinner from 7-9pm. We did feel that in the evenings the 7-9pm slot wasn’t long enough, resulting in it being a bit manic and not always making it an enjoyable relaxing evening. From experience, you’ll always get people who like to eat early but also people who like to eat late. So opening the restaurant at 6pm and shutting around 9.30/10pm would spread diners out making for a more relaxed dinner. This next bit is for people like me who are coeliac/gluten intolerant. There is Schar gluten free bread available at breakfast and dinner. It is normally on a separate shelf where all the normal bread is. It would be great if maybe for breakfast they could provide a separate area with a toaster. Lots of other European hotels have an allergy station separate to the main buffet. For a coeliac the cross contamination is a big thing and having some items completely separated gives some reassurance. I was however super pleased to see that they did have a separate area in the evenings for gluten free deserts. I managed the buffet ok and really kept to the freshly cooked fish/meats, salads and veg. The pizza and pasta station also can make you a gf pizza and gf pasta on request. I did try the pizza, which was very nice and I wasn’t ill. Staff always very friendly and helpful and great to see cleaners out and about keeping everything spotless. Would love to visit Croatia again and wouldn’t hesitate in staying here.
