“Very good for the value”

We got a really good deal for room with breakfast in this time (august 2023). The hotel is clean , room was big, bed was comfortable….I was missing a hairdryer. Breakfast was OK (if you are not picky to much) with a good view on the sea (terrace) , The staff is kind and friendly.

It's a good hotel, though I shouldn't dare say that it's a very good one. The bed comfort is what really makes it be considered good. That comfort derives mainly from the mattress, whose toughness is the adequate one for a good rest and shuns the possibility of getting a backache. Besides the rooms are apparently soundproof so that hardly any noise is heard from inside the building. As far as the hotel location is concerned, it may likewise be considered good insofar as one enjoys a fantastic view over the village bay from the hotel restaurant terrace and from the pertinent room windows. On the other hand however, the hotel finds itself on a hill slope, very far from the beach. Therefore, every time one wants to bathe in the sea, he needs to walk a long distance down the hill. The worse is nevertheless the way back to the hotel for which one is compelled to climb up the slanting hill up to the hotel, which is very distressing, as it can be imagined, particularly on sunny and hot days. The staff members are kind and helpful. They helped me to carry the heaviest part of the luggage from my car to the room and viceversa on the days of my arrival and departure, respectively. Notwithstanding that, upon my check out the lady at the front desk tried to charge me an amount higher than the price really owed by applying a wrong rate of exchange. This practice or similar ones are rather common, by the way, in Croatian businesses operating in the tourist sector. Therefore, one ought to be aware, and before paying a bill at a hotel or a restaurant in Croatia, it's advisable to peruse it very carefully. The breakfast is good. Apart from the fact that there is not much variety as far as fruit is concerned, it's abundant, and the food offered for that meal is of a good quality. It's also possible to have dinner at the hotel for an extra amount of 10 euros. I also had that meal on every one of the three days which lasted my stay there. Albeit the food concerned is nothing extraordinary, it may help one in case, for instance, he doesn't wish to walk all the way up to the hotel with full stomach. It's rather clean inside although, due to the fact that the hotel needs a renovation, some parts thereof do not look like. I asked for a kettle but unfortunately they hadn't enough devices for me to have it. They couldn't either provide me with a table lamp in order to read at the desk. Instead, they took off the screen of one of the bedside table lamps. Of course the result is not so good as that got by means of a table lamp. There is a garage there which is free of charge. Even though it's not very big, a lot of cars can be parked in it. Judging by the hotel characteristics as per the foregoing, one may hold that its quite expensive. The three day stay, dinner included, const me 3.051 kunas (414,14 euros). I don't think that I may recommend that hotel.
