“A must when visiting Arenal. Total luxury and a unique experience”
This hotel truly stands out. Yes the Hot Springs are the main attraction, but everything else is luxurious compared to other hotels in Costa Rica. The breakfast package is a must and will keep you full all day. I highly recommend you include it in any visit.

“Excellent stay near La fortuna”
We spent four nights here. It’s is about 15 minutes out of town The staff is welcoming and attentive. The room is large and clean and comfortable. The hot spring is very pretty and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is average for the type of hotel. A quiet relaxing stay.

This hotel is probably the best option in the area. Super nice rooms - really - and easy included access to hot springs! Nice lobby and super great coffee. Only two minor issues - restaurants are really overpriced vs equally good restaurants (eg USD 40+ for main course). Further - a minor thing - y… more
This hotel is probably the best option in the area. Super nice rooms - really - and easy included access to hot springs! Nice lobby and super great coffee. Only two minor issues - restaurants are really overpriced vs equally good restaurants (eg USD 40+ for main course). Further - a minor thing - yoga is only offered at 10:30 which is super strange since this is a place you stay for venturing the nearby activities. Anyways - can surely recommend!

Wonderful day at the Tabacon resort. Day spa starts at 10 am only. Parking lot across road from resort. Have your reservation details handy. Beautiful hot pools and waterfalls. Wonderful day at the Tabacon resort. Day spa starts at 10 am only. Parking lot across road from resort. Have your reservation details handy. Beautiful hot pools and waterfalls. Hot spring bar and amazing meal with full spa day. Many menu items to cater to everyone. We did massages and we very happy with both masseuses. Our meal was slow but staff rearranged spa time and made it work. Plan for a full day if you do massages to fully relax. If first time in Arenal area roads wind and can be tough in rainy weather plan for extra time. A unique one of a lifetime spa adventure.

Lovely place but really frustrating as there’s hardly anywhere to sit when it rains. When you spend $75 you hope to be able to spend the day there but there’s nowhere to relax and read a book undercover. Lovely place but really frustrating as there’s hardly anywhere to sit when it rains. When you spend $75 you hope to be able to spend the day there but there’s nowhere to relax and read a book undercover. None of the cabanas are waterproof so once you’ve spent an hour or so in the water it’s either the restaurant or pool bar that has approx. 10 dry seats and is $20+ a cocktail. Shame as it’s a beautiful place.
