All-Inclusive Regulations in the Balearic Islands…
On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

I stayed there after hiking 2 days in the volcano area, it was more welcoming than the first 2 accomodation where i had asked about a room. The rooms are huge, it is quiet, the wifi is fast, they offer a good rate if you're alone. The breakfast is simple, but they will prepare it for you in the evening if you leave early. The only negative point is that the toilet didn't flush properly. Beware than on Sunday the center of town is completely asleep, you can't dind any food for lunch. In the upper part of town, some restaurants, bars and shops do open.

“nice place but very noisy”
The rooms that are close to the street are very noisy since there was music in the bar outside all night long. The room is large and also the bathroom. Breakfast was a bit light ; no buffet, andno local product

We would stay here again.

I was with a French group and we were all spread out throughout the pousada. I saw most of the rooms and they were all quite nice. My room was on the main level street side, which some might find noisy. The advantage here was that I could just open up the shutters and watch the happenings in the lively small square out front. However, it was quiet at night and I had no trouble sleeping. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and clean. The pousada is very well maintained and has a lot of charm. I really loved the style of this old Portuguese home and how they have transformed it into a very lovely place to stay. It is very centrally located. In general, Sao Filipe is a nice little town and worth spending a day or two in, even if most travellers' primary goal is to go to the volcano on Fogo. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.
