I was put up in this hotel by Binter as the flight from Boa Vista to Sal got cancelled. I was staying at the Iberostar on Boa Vista otherwise. What a difference. This is clearly not in the same league as Iberostar. It's in a nice location with a small private beach. Sal Rei city is quite close, but there is nothing much there anyway. Otherwise it's out in the sticks with nothing around. It's on a hillside, quite scenic, but with all those stairs you think twice before going back to you room. It would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The room was large with a large balcony and sea views, but with very tired furniture. Staff is nice and accommodating and the pool area was OK. The thing that lets it down is the restaurant. Which is surprising as the hotel seems to cater for Italians. I commented that hotels in Cape Verde seem to have very limited breakfast.... (Iberostar was an exception)... well breakfast here was almost non-existent. I could not even find a roll. Lunch and dinner are buffet style, but with not much choice and what was there was luke warm and not very appetizing. Thanks God I only stayed here for one night.

“Relaxed holiday mood ”

All we have done during this week’s break is sunbathe, swim, play in the waves, eat, read, relax and sleep. If that’s what you want to do then this hotel works fine for that. All we have done during this week’s break is sunbathe, swim, play in the waves, eat, read, relax and sleep. If that’s what you want to do then this hotel works fine for that. Comfortable beach loungers right by the ocean. Hotel restaurant not so good, with limited offerings. The breakfast is ok. However, there is a good beach restaurant a 5 minute walk away with great grilled fish and a long, sandy beach. In the town of Sal Rei, there are several restaurants and small convenience shops. The best restaurant we ate at was Cabo Cafe, and the hotel reception made a booking for us. We took taxis into Sal Rei - took 5 minutes and cost 3-5 euros. You could walk there in about 15 minutes, but it’s not such a nice walk. Our room is spacious and has a great view over the beach and ocean but it needs some updating. The bathroom is fine and the shower is hot. The staff are friendly, the compound is clean and tidy and has pretty gardens. Euros are used everywhere, and you can take out escudos at the ATM in town if you want to. Food and drinks are cheap in my opinion. All in all, an ok average hotel. Nothing flashy. Easy to be here a week and just chill. If you want nightlife and excitement this is not the venue for you. You should probably even try a different country. Cape Verde is the capital of no stress!

“Okay Hotel”

We arrived 11 of december 2018 and had a great week in the sun. A warm and sunny time, unforunately We got bad stomach maybe of salad that was mixed. Otherwise overall a good hotel. Very good and helpful straff.

Driving a long road from Sal Rei to the Marine Clube gives you a great sight of the resort and expectations they can not offer. Have the impression at reception they they offer the service they think you deserve according to nationality. The resort is under Italian management, so everything is taylored most for Italians, somehow noisy. Garden is beautiful and buildings are in good shape, from outside. Inside, at least our bungalow presented clean plain walls, furniture out function in some cases and totaly outdated, from the 6Oth. Lighting in the rooms is almost inexistent as is placed in a way cabinets creats shadow. Bathrooms are badly appointed. On the other hand, bungalows terraces are very inviting and offer a great open view to the Ocean, in some cases you can even observe whales. Breakfast is enough but very repetitive. Own beach coulb be enough for all clients but in case of "red flag" days can pass before you are alowed to enter the sea. Fortunately aside there are good beaches. You can walk to Sal Rei, the main village in Boa Vista, but after dusk should use a taxi to return. 15 Euro per week/device is charged for wi-fi.
