“I had some personal business but it was fun and the hotel was perfect.”

The beach was a block away from my hotel so I was able to walk down every morning and take a walk on the beach. It's cold in June....so bring a jacket. The hotel had a nice spa that offered facials, massages, Jacuzzi, steam room. I had a massage and facial and it was excellent. For four days at the hotel I paid for my food, coffee sent to my room and the facial and massage (each an hour long) $100 usd.

“Great stay!”

We stayed in two rooms on the second and seventh floor. The cleaning service on the second floor was superb but I'm afraid I can't say the same about the seventh floor. We stayed there with a very young girl and the room was not often ready for her nap. Room service excellent and very good prices... more

We stayed in two rooms on the second and seventh floor. The cleaning service on the second floor was superb but I'm afraid I can't say the same about the seventh floor. We stayed there with a very young girl and the room was not often ready for her nap. Room service excellent and very good prices. Meals for everybody's taste and diets. Besides, rooms are equipped with fridge, microwave and a small sink. THe spa was very good and flawless clean. The pool rather complicated because it was not for hotel guests only but also to the public, which made our swimming rather complicated with the water gym classes, and so on. Anyway, a good place for a short stay near the beach and many of the popular facilities in Mar del Plata. Unfortunately, I didn't book the parking and I had to park my car opposite the hotel, but no problem.

The one good thing about this hotel and the only reason I did not award a lower rating was that the reception staff member who assisted us was friendly and most helpful. We had originally booked to stay 3 nights, but after the first night, did not wish to stay for more than one night. We had booked a "Superior Quadruple Room", consisting of a main bedroom with a double bed, a living room with two sofa beds, a tiny bathroom, and a small kitchenette. We were allocated room 703, in which the rooms were all small and poky. The double bed in the main bedroom was a small double, not a large double as advertised. The living room was dark and depressing, with a view of the building's inner rectangle. The rooms looked nothing like the artistically dressed and lighted photographs on booking.com's website. The air conditioning in this hotel is centrally controlled, and they kept it off during most of our stay, which was in the heat of December. There was a couple with a baby in an adjoining room, and the sound of it crying was carried through the air conditioning ducts. We would NOT class this as a 4 star hotel, but rather, at a hard push, a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was not great; the sausages made my husband unwell. We did not use the spa, as we could not wait to get out of there. Mar del Plata is a beach resort, with not much else going for it, and this hotel is several blocks away from the beach. I would therefore recommend you book to stay somewhere with a sea view, such as the NH Gran Hotel Provincial, which is gorgeous, and definitely more than deserves each of its 5 stars...
